Redondo/ Manhattan Beach Area Golf

Heading to California for a wedding in Redondo Beach. Looking for some advice on where to play Thurs/Fri this week. Any Suggestions on a couple nice courses to play? Thanks for the help!

I live in MB and Friday's are super busy at muni's. Get to Los Verdes before 7am if you want to finish in under 5 hrs. Trump is boring, over priced and overly penalizing (balls hit left or right are lost). If you have a car check out Rancho Park in Rancho Park/Century City and Navy Destroyer in Long Beach. Pace of play is ok at both (try to get out before 12pm) and they are both $50-60. Pelican Hill is very expensive and a long drive (Friday traffic on the 405 is brutal) but it is very well mainte

Dunno if you already went or not, but I'll second Los Verdes. Its worth the 5hrs to me for a $50 bill you cannot beat the views/value of that course. Especially on a clear day.

If you just want to scrape it around because you live in a winter environment, you can check out Rancho Park or the long beach courses. I'd say El Dorado, Navy Destroyer, Rec Park, Skylinks, Victoria in order. Also, to really just scratch the golf itch, Harbor Park is a little 9hole with full length par 4's & 5's that I always enjoyed. 2hr round, get to hit every club in the bag. Not the best conditions but its fun and the people there were always super friendly playing partners.

Also, not too far from you is Montobello CC which is a fun layout. Rio Hondo in Downey is ok too. Rustic Canyon is cool but is at least 90min drive away.

Brookside runs along the Rose Bowl, if its college football season maybe skip it. Off season its cool to see and you can parlay the trip into Pasadena/LA/Hollywood on your way up/back.
