Forged game improvement irons?

Just trying to get a list of the forged game improvement irons available. Also want to know which ones just have a forged face versus a forged head.

My vote for best full one-piece forged head with some good GI features is Miura PP-9003. If you look around you can find them for decent prices too.

I recently had a chance to hit Honma's TW X irons and I was very impressed. Not very long heal to toe but does have wider soles. Great looking irons overall.

Epon 505 or 705s. For cheaper go 503 703. Softest club you'll find in the technology you're looking for.

These are definitely in the argument for most forgiving forged irons. Fantastic clubs. Soles are too wide for me but if they suit your swing you'd struggle to do better.

The T200 irons by Titleist have a forged face and to my mind feel good and the ball comes of it like a rocket ship.

In the GI Category.... If you're set on forged, look at the Srixon 585's. Very forgiving, great feel and loooong. If you're open to "forged feel", try the Titleist T300's.

I switched from the 585's to the T300's. Both of these are great for all handicaps. I'm a "9", and wouldn't play anything but a GI iron.

Wishon 565MC is a great high MOI on earth piece forged iron. Low offset, thinner top line and radiused sole for smooth turf interaction.

Cobra Forged Tec Blacks are awesome as well.

Decent looking head with good feel, pretty forgiving and better spin consistency than a lot of other heads I played.

I found the same thing with the Cobra Forged Tec Black. A little more spin than others in the class, loft for loft.

I find interesting that the testers in the video noted a disparity in distance consistency, if I'm reading their findings correctly ( do they mean jumpers?)

I haven't experienced that with my set, except maybe my 9 iron, but not 20yrds, and I chalked it up to them not being as forgiving on mishits, distance wise.

Some may scoff at this but that's OK by me. I happen to believe in its relative accuracy. I've played many of these older heads in my 30+ years of playing golf that have a low playability factor and recently bought two different types of heads with a higher playability rating and built clubs with them. There is night and day difference between the older (low) and those that I built to where I believe his ratings have a lot of merit.

That was my experience, as well. When I was first introduced to MPF, I just happened to be playing a set of blades that were very low on the scale. So, just for the heck of it, I built a set that were at the top of the scale. The difference was remarkable. I still have that set, and I return to it whenever my swing goes off kilter. I'm experimenting the the TE Forged heads now. They're very much like the original Hogan Edge irons.
