Miura mb001 vs Miura MC 501

Can anyone compare these two Miura irons ??

Considering that I am building an MC 501/MB 001 combo set I will chime in.

Plan is to do 8-Pw MB 001, 7-5 MC 501, and MB 001 4 iron.

Hitherto now, I have played the tournament blade and baby blade for longer irons. Today, I got to hit hit the MC 501 6 iron and all I can say is just wow. Pure bliss, it plays like the MB 001 but with more forgiveness- I am not sure if that makes sense.

Why are you using the mb 001 for a 4 iron ?

Can you send a side by side pictures of these. I would love to see the different thickness

My reason behind the 4 iron MB 001 is that I might be needing it on long par 5/4 and hitting off the fairway where positioning and trajectory is more imperative for me. MC 501 5,6 and 7 iron combo is predicated on the logic that they will be likely be hit as second shot and chances are that I might be hitting from a rough or some out of position situation where a little bit of forgiveness might be needed.

I will take pictures this weekend of what I have acquired thus far as I am getting the clubs bit by bit because this is a backup set I am building to game occasionally.

I saw those but it is too late- I am deep into the project now with most of the clubs acquired. Thanks for the suggestion though, I will give the CB -301 a try when opportunity presents itself.

Haven’t seen the 501 in person but almost feeling buyers remorse going with the mb001 love the look and feel but I’m about a half club short on all shots right now. Might have to go give the 501 a look somewhere

I was looking at getting the MB001, both are sweet looking clubs but i love the classic look the 001 have. But i wouldn't mind the MC 501's either haha

I’ve got both MB001’s and MC501’s. The 501’s are noticeably more forgiving but still keep the thin top line. I can’t say I understand the logic with the MB001 4 iron but to each his own. You can’t go wrong with either.

Bumping this. Can anybody compare the two irons? I've hit both briefly. "Forgiveness" difference between these and MP20 MB? How noticeable is the offset on the MC501 gaming outdoors? I hit them in a dimly lit fitting studio and didn't notice it being that bad..

I would rather go tc201/mb101 if you are looking for a combo set. They blend better imo. Mc501 goes better with 301, just the way they look at address.
