Man, I have been in hunt for a 9306 for god know how long.

He just posted on his social media that new stuff is coming out and apparently a new site as well which has been in the works for an eternity.

I'm not getting my hopes up for either. Would just be nice to see the options and pricing for Kevin's putters.

bumping this because I found a copper putter he made in 1997 that is numbered out of 100, anyone have any info on that putter?

Always loved the classic 9306 head and felt it was one of the best-looking Anser designs of all time. I found one in mint condition, only problem is the head weighed about 330 grams. So after talking with Kyle Lucas at Bastain Milled, it's now 351 grams with custom Cameron tungsten weights.

Well this aged well seeing as I have one on order. To be fair his prices did drop from this post.

As far as I know it was just his standard satin finish on the 9306. Carbon steel. Standard light face milling.

It looks really nice, I have the Satin finish coming but was thinking of doing the flame. The flame is really nice but Brendan said it does wear over time just cause it's a torch finish. He said with enough use the sole will revert back to satin. Then again I can always get it refinished if I like it but want a different look.

Couldn’t agree more. IMO, there’s never been a better Anser style putter. I’ve owned three or four 9306’s and am down to one. They have varied slightly in milling and feel and the one I have left is the sweetest of them all. Basically irreplaceable. I lead taped the sole to my liking and have one of his newer Pure  grips on it. A little blemish from a lie angle mishap (lost sleep over it) but still mint. I don’t use it much but would never sell it.

His design philosophy is very efficient, like an an architect, like Frank Loyd Wright or Le Courbusier.  The 9311, 9303, 9305, 9306 (above) and 9320 just beautiful n brilliant, and first industry copper insert most innovative.  If you study the hosel and neck of his early putters (1999), compared to the most popular brand, he was way ahead of more popular brands. The satin finish, the fonts, the milling, the symmetry and the scale were very proletariat, very simple.  The tourstage putters were very clean and crisp, efficient designs. Very Japanese/Scandinavian. His putters belongs in the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art).  His newer putters have catered to what the market wants (which unfortunately I'm not a fan of), but you still see glimpses of that simplicity, that efficiency, that brilliance in the details.  

 

I collect other putters as investment, I actually have more Scottys, Bettis, but for me my Kevin Burns collection is pure ART. Playing them and STARING at them brings me the most JOY!   Good Job Mr. Burns!
