2020 Deals on Pebble

I have played several times over the years, but always as a single. Never had trouble getting a tee time by calling a week before as a single (they say 24hrs but it is not a hard rule). Planning on being in the area as a foursome in late January and wondering if anyone had some good tips to grab a time without booking rooms at $900 a night.

 

The ones I know of:

- Dukes Club Membership and wait for the deal to come out

- NCGA membership and wait for the winter deal

- Find someone who live within 17mile drive and get them to book 30 days out.

 

Love more info on any of these. The last one is intriguing as I heard you can grab an Air BandB inside the gates a many owners will book a time for you. Seem like a good option.

There wasn’t any NCGA deals this year so far, fingers crossed they will offer a deal for all three courses like they usually do.

There weren't any Dukes Club specials so far this year due to the US Open. I spoke with a head pro that I know and he wasn't sure if they would have the year end specials.

I’ve been able to book as a single 2 months out being a past guest of the property. That helps a lot. If you have stayed before mention it when trying to book

I'm pretty certain that if you book an Airbnb in the Del Monte Forrest that the owner can book a tee time 30 days out. The Del Monte Forrest is inside the gates ensure that you're inside the gates.

You can rent suites, cottages, etc. for reasonable prices.

just came back from the peninsula and it was great. We stayed at the lodge on business. Was great but I don't think I would pay the personally to play again. It is intriguing that the owners of the airbnb can book tee times for you.

 

do you know if they can book at spyglass, Spanish bay and pebble? Poppy is public so no problem there.

Pebble is the only one it matters at.

You don't have to stay at the resort to play Spanish Bay or Spyglass.

You can book Spanish Bay or Del Monte Golf Course 6 months in advance and Spyglass 3 months in advance

I will be in Monterey in early July 2020. Will be there for 2 and a half days. I would like to play Pebble, Spyglass and Poppy Hills, with Pebble obviously being the major draw card.

My preference is to try and get on Pebble without staying at the resorts, which would mean not booking any of the above courses in advance. Would appreciate any advice re:

My prospects in trying to get a tee time at Pebble at that time of the year as a single; andWhether I would run into any trouble getting a tee time at Spyglass or Poppy if I don't book well in advance.

I don't think that you'll have any trouble getting tee times at any of those 3 courses. Just remember to bring warm clothes as July usually gets the marine layer which means fog on some days.

FYI Winter NCGA special is now available until end of Jan.

$450 for Pebble, $235 for Spyglass and $160 for Spanish Bay. No requirement to stay at the resort and each paid round comes with a $75 gift card to the proshop. If you do want to stay at the resort the rooms are about half off. Also you get a free round at Spanish Bay if you book a 1 night and 1 paid round.

Not advertised on the website only through the NCGA email. Just played last weekend and it was phenomenal. We have a break from the rain right now so I encourage everyone to book! Limited availability especially on Pebble.

Sorry but not just the NCGA email. My Dukes email came out ~ 12/9 then the California Golfers email on 12/12 and the NCGA email came later on 12/17. Our Dukes prices are slightly less than the California Golfers and NCGA, the biggest difference is that with Dukes I can book upto three foursomes.

Can one still book in advance if they aren't staying at the resort for Spyglass or Spanish Bay? I am looking to possibly make a day of it. I am planning on visiting SF this June and would drive down and spend the day there.
