Anyone still gaming any Sonartec equipment? I still use a MD 19 hybrid and I'm actually thinking of picking up a 3 wood.

I used the NP-99 3 wood for a while. Was great with the Aldila NV shaft. Mostly use a four wood now so haven't bagged it this year. Also swap out an MD hybrid 21° for a three iron. Useful on a long par three.

I had an NP99 aswell many years ago.

Nice club surely but nothing that you cant get from several different options now

Ok thanks. Everything I demo new these days are forgiving but lack feel and swing weight so light . They also have super light shafts and feel cheap. I guess that's why I'm looking for older stuff that performs. I always heard the Sonartec fairways are great but never hit one.

My bag from 2008 had a bunch of Sonartec in it.

I have kept it intact, and it still sees the course a

few times every year. ( I leave out the 13° 3 wood )

No longer have the speed to make it work.

Thanks , as a hoarder, rarely selling anything , I still

have several intact full bags dating back to 2000. .

Once I have a bag dialed in ,everythig perfect, I get

bored. And it will be "retired " when the next bag is

built.....

I have 2 sonartec clubs in the bag and they have been there 10 years while everything else has changed many times. I first heard about them on here and managed to pick up a few different clubs over the years.

I have an SS-03 14 degree 3 wood that has been so solid for so long. Also an HB 001 21 degree hybrid that is an absolute go to. Also have a 4 wood, 2 back up 3 woods and 3 more hybrids that I will not get rid of and still get some bag time depending on the course and set up.

In my experience they are elite fairway clubs. Can't recommend highly enough.

I've got a Royal Collection 5 wood. They are the parent company in Japan. They make a lot of great titanium fairway woods (and their irons and wedges look really nice too).

I still have (packed away) SS03 and GS Tour 3 and 5 woods, plus a MD21. They look pretty small compared to the latest FWs.

You can adjust the SW and total weight of any modern club out there today between lead tape, hotmelt, and heavier upgrade shafts to get the weight you want. I agree the stock fairway wood shafts are all too light.

I played the 02 for a while but you really did need to be Nick Price to pull those clubs off. There is a reason you don't see them much anymore. Order something current you like with a 75g shaft in it, think you'll be happier in the long run.

I hit a buddies Td version of a hybrid with a Crossfire gold steel shaft back in the day ... it was amazing

Never did see TD on the bay. Very square lines at address which is why I loved it

Maybe it was MD but I am convinced it was TD

I recently brought out of hibernation my HB 001 23* hybrid and it is as good as any hybrid today. Have both a MB19 and the HB001 23 shafted with Fuji 904 HB, for some reason that shaft just suits me very well. The only knock on the MD is the forgiveness compared to today's more modern hybrids.

He has a Sonartec NP three wood but it’s stainless and goes 20 yards less than his current 3 wood.

My first hybrid was one, while it is no longer around I have had a hybrid in the bag since then.

Sonartec SS-03 with made for Penley X shaft stayed in the bag until the shaft went. Tried everything to replace the shaft but never the same to me. My brother borrowed it the last time he visited in August and it’s still in his bag.

Still have a GS Tour 3 wood with a Purple Ice shaft and an HB001 23° hybrid. Haven't hit the 3 wood in a while but did use the hybrid a little this past year. It's as good as anything out there that I've tried.

The designer has a JDM company now called A-Grind. I've never hit their stuff but it looks pretty similar (minus the driving cavity).

I have and ss-2.5 that was in my bag until last year and now it is in my myrtle beach bag. Still hits missiles though especially with the og proforce v2 in it
