Mizuno MP-20 HMB Pitching Wedge

For the folks who have already pulled the trigger and played with the MP-20 HMBs, how is the pitching wedge? Do you like the look of it or should I go with a T20 wedge instead?

I waggled it in shop. It's a bit big. No need for tech in a PW I'd go blade or T20

i love mine. i can make it suck back or not. and i mean.. suck back. Throw it over the flag and snitch back.

but only if i have a shallow strike...it does not like steep. must be the sole.

I'm fine with it. It doesn't hurt to have the forgiveness. maybe replace it with the mb pw or t20 when the grooves start to wear.

I went with the MB and wouldn't change (see sig, mix of all 3 models 5-P). If I'd had a chance I wouldn't mind having tried 5-8 HMB with 9 and P MB. As it is, I'm more than happy with the HMB / MMC/ MB combo.

HMB PW then 52, 58 in T20 wedges. The 9 and PW in the HMB are already 1025E

Yeah, never concerned with the feel for Mizuno. They occassionally make a PW that has an odd shape to it. That's more or less why I'm asking the question.

got it I like the shape of the hmb per better than the t20. I played vokey 48,54,60 with the 18 mmc for similar reasons as you are inquiring.

Yep, as you can see by my sig I basically did the same thing. Depending on course setup I would go 3w and 48* or take out the 3w and go 46* & 50*.

I have the 46 degree t20 wedge with the S400 tour shaft and my HMB set has DG120 X100.

 

I like the feel of the T20, lower trajectory and control but not sure I see much difference overall. My  OCD makes me want to play the set wedge. I don’t use my pitching wedge for anything other than a 10 iron, my 50 gap wedge is my bump and run chipper.... Thoughts?

I was looking at my HMB PW yesterday - looks fine but everyone is different. Use the T20 in 50, 54, 59.

 

I use the 50 if I need to bump and run - it has a Nippon Pro Modus 3 115 (122g) in it My other 2 wedges have the 125 wedge shaft in it. Irons are 95g constant weight. I like more heft around the greens on partials.

I guess the main thing is do you feel like the PW is different than the rest of the set? I know the P and 9 are different construction but can’t help but have different feels when making contact

I’m interested in hearing about this as well. I don’t have the PW in the HMB, I go 4-9. I bought a Mack Daddy CB in that spot for the forgiveness. How comparable would the forgiveness be in the HMB PW vs an MDCB or CBX type wedge?

I had the HMB in the 4-5 and despised them off the turf.  Swapped them to MMC like the rest of my set, much happier.
