Callaway RAZR X Tour iron=What newer iron?

I buddy of mine asked me today what newer Cally iron would play similar to the razr x tour......I had no answer and told him I would ask.....What say you?

That's a good question. I had a set of those and thought they were great. But those were my last set of Cally irons so not sure what compares in their lineup now.

Rogue Pro is the current iron fitting that slot, although basically end of run. Some would say the Apex/Apex Pro, although forged. Remains to be seen what is released in 2020.

was just going to say Rogue Pro also, the new Marvrik series will be the new offering to replace the Rogue line.

maybe XR Steelhead Pro could be worth a look also?

I played the the razr x tour irons for two different periods, the most recent about 3 years ago. They ere great irons. Th he Rogue Pro may be the latest version of them, but they are no where near as good as the razr x tour

I was hitting my buddies four iron and I felt like I was hitting a 7-iron as far as accuracy and control. I could pretty much do what I wanted with it.

Definitely looks like it compares to callaway steelhead xr pros. Slightly smaller profile then a full game improvment iron, less offsett. feels fantastic, plenty worability. I have a set i should know lol.

I would say Rogue Pro or Steelhead Pro. To me both are notably better. The tech and feel of the Rogue Pro are a cut above. In fact, I consider the Rogue Pro to be one of Callaway’s somewhat overlooked great irons. Much of the tech in the pricey Epic lineup you get a lot cheaper in the RP. I liked the Razr X Forged (Furyk’s longtime irons) a lot more than the Tour.

Probably the Rogue Pro, for which I got a rough fitting at a 2018 golf expo.

The RazrX line came out in 2011, the year Callaway launched 6.5 iron models (Callaway watchers never could figure out if the RX Prototypes were general production or custom only).

I got a full bag fitting that year. After I test hit the RazrX and RazrX Tour, and my pro told me just to keep my X20 Tours.
