The zippers are not very well put together on this bag and snag as the teeth of the thread for the zipper are all bent. Went back and even tried with a pair of pliers to bend them straight and the zipper still wouldnt budge. Even used the old #2 pencil graphite on the teeth trick to lube it up and it didnt work. PING offered to replace the bag and the straps but I returned the bag and am going to look elsewhere.

From your prior post above, you didn't have that bag very long. Have you contacted Ping customer service for a remedy to the problems you experienced with the Hoofer? From my experience this is outside the normal experience with a Ping bag , everyone in my family has a Ping bag and even with all the abuse my kids put them through they have seemed to wear like iron. I am sure if you contact them Ping will make this right for you.

I did contact PING and they were very accommodating in regards to fixing the problem and offered to replace the bag. I ended up returning it to an authorized dealer locally and found a bag from a different manufacturer that fit the things I wanted. Never realized I like the 14 way top on the new TM bag that I purchased.

My daughter has a white hoofer 4 ladies model, the only difference from what I understand is the scripts. It is similar to the Hoofer lite and she rolls it on a Caddytek cart with no issues. I will try to remember to post a pic next time we are out, but snow on the ground now.

Thanks. I have the Under Armour Storm bag now and the way the legs are built it doesn’t sit well on the cart. I had a TaylorMade bag before that and it fit very nicely.

Question for anyone who's switched from a circa 2014/15'ish Hoofer to this year's model:

The older bags had a sliding strap system where each strap was independent and they crossed in a sliding plastic guide. I found this to be the simplest and best carry system, and I've been hesitant to go with "pivot" systems where the four straps connect to a central point. Now that Ping has gone to that pivot system for the straps, how are you finding it? Do you prefer it? Miss the old straps?

I agree... I just got one about a week ago in the black camo (not sure what year it is) but it definitely feels extremely balanced while carrying and easy on the back. Very happy with it though I do get some club snag with 14 in there... with 13, it seems much better.
