CRAZY end to the Rockets game last night. The "missed" dunk call, ESPN said this morning the Rockets are filing a protest and are confident they can either get the result changed or re play from when the dunk happened. They also showed this happened a few times in the past and games have been replayed with like 1982 being the most recent example. I personally dont feel this should be replayed...just too many variables like trades, players not on the team currently/G league that may be called up, injuries, etc...Theres no telling that the Spurs still wouldnt have come back anyways either. Chalk it up to human error and go on, make it a reviewable play (if its not already) in the future.

Out of curiosity, what happens to the stats from that dunk on?? Is everything erased in people's career stats from that point on and the new stats take their place if they replay??

If GS ends up with the first pick, who do they take? The kid from Memphis? And any clue where Melo may wind up? Think he may have a higher upside than his brother.

D.J. Wilson on team chemistry: Everybody loves one another and we play for one another. I think it speaks volumes to how we play and how we celebrate one another on and off the court. I don't think anything is fake about it.

Lakers are unstoppable when they are hitting 3s. Now 10-1 on the road. Clippers have won 9 of last 10 and haven’t picked up on game. AD trade is looking good so far.

I dont know why any team that doesnt have Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet wouldn't just tank and load up on assets for next year

I've only been watching Toronto lately in the NBA. Been watching much more NFL these days. But I probably should catch some Giannis while he is still in Milwaukee

The format of the all-star game was outstanding! Definitely keep the 4th quarter format the way it was done last night. I was surprised that neither team chose to sub at all in the last few possessions. Some offense/defense subs would have made sense.

I'm not watching a lot of hoops. Needed a bit of a break from the league. To be fair though it's been a bit better this year

Frankly, got tired of all the trade demands and player movement. Guys sitting on the bench wearing looney tunes shirts as healthy scratches while making 30M and the media telling me I have to love it because player empowerment is amazing

Because the GSW vs LeBron thing is dead in the water. The past 3-4 years were people arguing over that.

Now that GSW is a non entity and a 37 year old LeBron in putting up MVP numbers (Giannis is still better) on a West Conference leading team noone wants to discuss.

 

Toronto is still surprising and Milwaukee still lacks a finisher so the East is not a total lock.

 

The West... both LA teams still don't have an identity and can be beaten in a 7 game series by a team with defense.

I've been watching every Bucks game... but I can't stand the way the national media discusses the Bucks so I tend to stay away...

 

Lose to a Heat team that hacked them every time they touched the ball - the Bucks are the worst team in the East

 

Win by 20 - bad for the Bucks because they haven't played anybody

 

I'm just ready for the playoffs

I guess the theory that parity is good doesn't hold.

 

Just like in golf, the casual fan goes out of their way to watche when Tiger is in the mix. The casual NBA fan is waiting for the playoffs because there is no dominant GSW or a 1 man LBJ wrecking crew to cheer for /against in the regular season.

I have a hard time believing Giannis is better then LeBron and that the Lakers don’t have an identity. I think it’s been a great season so far, I have watched more regular seasons games this year then the last two combined.

My favorite things:

LeBron outlet passes to AD

Luca everything

Tatums footwork

Celtics grit (never thought I would say that)

Did I mention Luca?

Pelicans pace and youth

GSW fans being nonexistent. Seriously I’m from north of the Bay and GSW fans are the biggest bandwagon fans in all of sport. It’s a joke.

Been a great season. Tomorrow is a big game in LA.

What I mean by no identity is that those 2 guys are really just so talented that they have been winning even though everyone else still seems to be figuring where to fit in. Up to last week they were still trying to sign people to fill roles. They still try to find PT for Rondo when it's clear they play better without him.

 

Giannis is more valuable to Milwaukee than LBJ is to the Lakers. LBJ is just doing things a 37 year old has no business of doing.

I agree on the biggest bandwagoners.

I hope the playoffs are exciting.

LeBron has been playing his best basketball as a Laker hands down. Avery Bradley is becoming the Lakers third best player.

This is definitely in his top 5 or 6 seasons play wise. Especially since no injuries and heavy minutes.

The Lakers need to find those 3rd and 4th consistent guys or they may run into trouble come playoff time against teams with defense.

I hope Bradley keeps it up so that Kuz can come off the bench. Kuz starting creates match up problems for LA because LeBron and Kuz cannot guard fast wings. Kuzma has to spell LBJ or AD.

Any thoughts on LA vs LA? I think if AD can turn beast mode noone on the Clips can guard him. It's a matter of the Lakers finding a defensive line up that can guard both PG13 and Kawhi. LbJ cannot be relied on to guard either for long stretches.

I just think if the Lakers match the Clippers intensity and make an effort both AD and Bron to pound the Clippers down low then the Lakers have a big advantage. Lakers just beat the two other best teams in the league while shooting very poor from 3.

That's the word I guess, intensity.

I used identity because it seems they haven't decided on being an offensive juggernaut or use their superior skills to defend, they have a lot of defenders - Green, Bradley, AD, Dwight, Javale, even Kuz when he is a correct match up.

 

GsW will outshoot and outrun you. Houston will live and die by the 3. LAC will pressure defend you until they make a run. Milwaukee will have Giannis start from top off the key and break your team defense down.

 

LAL is just using pure talent (AD's and LeBron's) right now and it gets them in trouble in close games.

 

I want the Lakers to win it all just to have the mamba tributes after.

You know what’s crazy is I remember going back to like 2012 with you debating Bron is the best player in the world. Now look at us 8 years later with the same discussion. That just shows how great he is and how big of losers we are lol. ?

Jeff you should try to watch a Laker game. The style of ball Bron is playing Is very pure and the way PG is meant to be played. He continually sees rotations very early in the cycle and creates a ton of open shots.

I had my thoughts on Lebron back then, which I think was fair (this was after the Dallas loss i think), but I dont think anyone can question now that he is at worst the best player of the modern (post MJ) era and #2 or #3 alltime. And what he is doing at 35 is pretty incredible, though admittedly I am not watching much other than Raptors games.

I am not crazy about his off court strategies with Klutch, as those are some of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of the league anymore.

I've read a lot about how he is playing this year and yeah, I really respect his ability to adapt. I'll probably tune it at some point during the playoffs because there is not much going on

Would be great for the league if in back to back years a guy won the title after mostly not playing the year before while healthy in order to force a trade and making over 25M a year . Player empowerment is amazing!
