Best Relaxed Fitting Golf Pants for Thick Legs

Does anyone have any recommended or favorite golf pant brand/fit/cut for a wider fitting leg/arse? I need a husky fit if you will... Was in golf galaxy yesterday and couldn't find anything that didn't make my legs look they were being stuffed in sausage casings.. I've read about the Footjoy Traditional cut, but haven't been able to try them out yet. Thanks in advance!

I do not know about their golf pants but bonobos athletic cut dress pants work great for us big thigh guys.

While my legs aren't the thickest, I do have fairly decent sized ones for my height/weight. I find pretty much any pant that's got the stretch quality to it work out just fine. Any of the modern golf pants from UA, PUMA, Adidas, etc should be fine unless you've got legit body builder legs. If you want something a touch thicker for maybe colder to mild weather, Puma Jackpot are good. For warmer weather into the summer, Adidas pants seem to be a little more thin and stretch a little bit more. I have 3 pairs of the Adidas, one Puma and one Under Armor... all very good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I did realize the different materials used (thickness/stretch) in a few Adidas pairs that I tried on... And while they were very stretchy, still wasn't quite the look/fit I was going for, I'll have to try some of the brands mentioned above.

Does anyone have any feedback on the Footjoy pants?

I haven't tried any Footjoy pants, but I'm not the smallest guy in terms of build. I'm 5'10", and have weighed up to 220 lbs in the past 5 years, and Under Armour Match Play pants fit around my legs just fine, and legs definitely aren't skinny. They are my favorite to wear, followed by a couple of older Adidas golf pants I got a few years ago. I'm down to 190-195 right now, so they're all fitting looser than I'm used to, but they never gave me issues with the extra weight I used to carry.

I've had good success with Under Armour golf pants. I live relatively close to an Under Armour outlet store, which always has a nice selection of golf pants, shorts and shirts at 40% off. So the price is right as well.

If you have an Izod store anywhere near you, they make the best pants for us guys with large legs, in my opinion. If it is an outlet store, you can get them from $10-$15, they are super comfortable, durable, and the fit is great. I wear them for dress pants and golf pants.

@Banker - Are the Old Navy pants flexy material with some give? Or pretty rigid? There's an Old Navy not very far from me, thats a quick trip away. Thanks!

So the issue is you are likely trying to buy pants in relation to your waist size and that isn't going to work in most cases. I have big legs and a 37 inch waist so I have to buy them bigger and have them tailored to my waist size. I buy size 42" waist and 32" or longer inseam and then for $26 bucks a pair a good tailor will take them apart and bring in the waist and put my golf slit on them and it always comes out nice. These were done for me most recently as I despise slacks fitting me tight in the legs. The slacks below are from Fenix Xcell and they come in sizes up to a 44 in waist and they have plenty of room in them which surprised me because they are based out of Thailand. These were size 42 pants that I had tailored. I have big legs ( i just measured my quad and it was 24 inches for reference) and know the pain of trying to find slacks that fit and this technique has worked well for me as there is no way I can buy a size 38 pant and they fit me! The slacks were $58 bucks and the tailor was $ 26 for the waist adjustment and the golf slit so 84 bucks for some slacks that fit well and will last for years. Best of luck.

They’re not as stretchy as my mavi’s but they’re not like regular chinos either. They fit me like my best relaxed fit jeans.

i have thick legs and I found best to go with slim fit pants but just go up a size on the waist. The standard relaxed fit I'm not a fan of how it looks so wide, like I'm swimming in them.

 

Under Armour is great but I currently have the Nike 5 pocket slim fit pants and they are super comfortable.

If you can fit slim fit pants, you dont have thick legs. I would have to go up several waist sizes to fit slim cut pants, unless I wanted them to look like spandex.

I have found the 5 pocket dealer Puma pants have worked out well for me. I have thicker butt, thighs and calves and I seem to keep coming back to them as well. The 360 Adidas do fine as well, but are sometimes a touch thinner than I'm looking for material wise (although I do have some pairs of them).
