Fujikura Pro 83x hybrid shaft

The 2016 model -- I've been considering it a good option but have had no luck finding one to swing. I've tried the Atmos Blue 8s and the Atmos Black 9x so I have them for reference. If it's anything like the wood shaft the Pro should be a tip-stiff, mid-soft profile and the weight is roughly what I'm looking for. If you've swung any of these how would you say they compared? The other models I've tried or am looking at are the ADDI, Recoil prototype, EF White and Black, Tensei White S and Blue TX, Ping Tour 85 S and X

Awesome hybrid shaft that performs as spec'd by Fuji. I've been using it for years. Yes, it feels similar to the wood versions (the non-TS blue ones) - easy to load with mid launch and lowish spin.

One thing to note, the 83 is slightly thicker in the grip section than the lighter weight models.

I have no experience with Atmos. I would email Fujikura about that if I were you, they are typically pretty responsive to specific inquiries.

I swapped my P790 2 UDI Ctaper Lite X to Pro Blue 83X. It takes some time to get used to but it delivers. I can hit low stingers or high fades on demand. I had to trim the tip a bit but no biggie.

That's ok, I imagine you swing a little harder than me and the head is heavier. I'm putting it in a 19 hybrid so I'm gonna start with it untipped.

Compared to an tour ad DI 105, the Fuji pro 83 felt a little "dead" to me. DI flew a little higher for me too, but that would've been down to the loft (25 vs 23). DI was easier to launch off the deck. Granted they are at different price points but sometimes you get what you pay for. Now the Fuji in a 16 clk was a missile launcher.

X to X? Yeah, I love the DI. I'd have one if mine didn't snap. Also it's petty, but I don't like that it's orange. If anyone wants to recommend a shaft like the DI please share it. I need a stiff tip soft mid and an in-the-middle handle, the DI does that perfectly. I had the 95. I'm wondering if I should have considered the recoil more but I bet it's very close to my Ping Tour 85x. Hybrid shafts are hunting unicorns.
