Average 150 Club?

I used to be a 9i at 150, but I use softer flex these days and am a high spin player by choice, so my 9 is now 130. Also, my 3i is 38" and 9 is 35.5", blended at about 3/8" intervals. 8i really hard will go 150, but a smooth 7 is the club most times. Keep in mind, when my 9 was going 150, my 3i was still going the same distance it does today, so my gapping today is perfect! Here were my yardages when I was a "big hitter" hahahaha! Pretty stacked at the top end.

Depends on the conditions. Nice golf day, normal 9 iron (MP-5). Rainy, cold, wind in your face day- could be a low 7 iron.

I’m 34 and 5’8. I was hitting a 7/8 for 150 (carry) depending on wind, but new clubs mean it’s 8/9. I’m not a big hitter, only average 235 total with the driver.

Im also just over 30 and 5 10 but have been playing golf for the better part of 17 years . i typically hit a 9 iron into a 150 yrd pin or a baby 8 depending on uphill or into the wind. Now far as your swing dont worry about them saying your swing is slow. Some of the longest hitters barely look like they arw trying to hit the ball. You prolly just have a really good tempo. Stats say the average male golfer carries a 7 iron 142.6 yards so you are doing great by those standards. And also the better your ball striking becomes and your technique the more club head speed you'll produce and more distance but keep a smooth tempo . slow is smooth and smooth is fast remember swinging fast isnt the same as swinging HARD

Depends on the set but typically that is either a 9 iron or PW.

I would probably use a 6 iron. Cleveland VAS 792. I dont know for certain as I havent had a chance to hit real balls quite yet.

It would be my 8 iron because I expect some roll out after it lands at like 145yds. But definitely depends on condition because if the greens rolls back, then I would hit a bit longer w a soft 7 iron and let the ball feed back.
