I hit 117 mph with the middle SpeedStick today. I am giving the study done from Par 4 Success a try for a month which said follow the protocols with just the middle SpeedStick. Doing so would greatly reduce load, decrease potential for injury, and greatly increase speed gains.

 

1 week in I have gained 5mph on my recorded max and 4 mph on my average swing speed.

Short game was fire today. Irons were solid-to-pretty-damn-good but my GIR suffered thanks to putting myself in terrible position off the tee more than a few times - and getting off the tee is USUALLY my strongest point.

 

Not mad at a 78 but I gave away at least 3 strokes because my only option was to punch out into the fairway. :shrug:

Hit every fairway yesterday. Not sure I've ever done that before. Still scored lousy, because I shanked a 4-iron OB on a par-3. Still...I hit every freakin' fairway!

After about a year of playing this game, got my first true birdie on a none par 3. Hit driver and short iron to within 5' of the pin. Sunk the putt. Very happy.

Had a better than usual putting day. Made some 6 foot breakers that I miss a lot. Sunk one straight 12 footer. Unusual for this 13 capper.

My driver went well today. In fact despite the mud, cold and damp pretty much everything went well. I only had one two bad shots the entire round. It seems that keeping my head back does indeed work for all clubs.

Played well today despite an hour frost delay this morning. Traded my F7 for a Mizuno ST19G - love this thing and it was 150 from GolfSmith. I hit it well all day. Switched back to my old crappy self customized Rosa putter and putted better than I have in quite a while - 33 putts (only 2 three putts).

 

Shot an 81, I'm happy...

Pitched in from 20 yards with my freshly gripped VIP 60 wedge. It was one of those- "if it hadn't have gone in it would have rolled fifteen feet past" deals too!

Hit one green the first 12 holes. Held it together pretty well with 12 putts the first 9 but on 10-12 the wheels came off with two straight doubles and a bogey.

Then I suddenly started hitting greens, 5 of the last 6, and even rolled in a birdie on 18 to salvage a 78.

Strange game. Ready to give up and sell the clubs after 12 holes, upbeat in the parking lot 90 mins later.

Played 27 today.

Shot plus 1 on the first 18 and just put on a driver clinic. The PlaneMate and SuperSpeed training has made my smoothies go 260 and I can step on it to 290 if I want. Total game changer.

Ended up playing a second 9, this time from the forward tees, to get some time in with my new hybrid and shot -4 under with a chip in for eagle for the first eagle I’ve had in a few months.

First under par round from legit tees in a few months. Also had 5 birdies for the first time in a year. The putter and wedges were pretty hot today.

I shot a 74 yesterday playing best-ball with myself. I averaged low 90s this year, so this tells me it's my ball striking consistency that's my big issue.

What also has me psyched is that I hit my 3 wood off a tee 220 and my 5 wood 190 off the deck. I average 210 with driver, so go figure.

Broke 90 for the first time ever! And definitely felt like I could have done better. Sunk a few putts, made a bunch of pars, 1 birdie on a par 5, and only had 1 blowup hole which I stuck with and made the putt for a 7. In pretty soft conditions too, decent ball striking round with solid driving. And the putters been really solid lately, think I had 2 3 putts the whole round which is really good for me. Shot 88 on what was likely the last round of the year, and was lucky to get it in at that as the snow all melted away and the course re opened for us die hards. Stoked to head into the off season and work on some fitness stuff as I'm a big fat load currently lol.

Only missed one fairway on Monday. However, I missed 4 birdie putts inside 12 feet and still shot +6 w/ 34 putts.

Not much with an 84.......although I did get up and down for par 4/6 times, which might be a record for me.

Good company for the round, although our conversation probably took me out of the game as we were discussing his wife's passing from complications from a experimental cancer drug.

Same thing that hastened my mom's demise.

Took off early with a bud and played 12 holes. We had to stop as it was getting dark, and my game was getting hot, dang. I was smacking the dog out of my 5 wood, stupid long. The 54* wedge was on fire, but the putter kept putting the fire out, really! Can't complain about getting the chance to play in 60* weather this time of year, just awesome!!!

My driver has been good lately, missed 4 fairways the last 2 rounds (I don't hit it very far). Two range sessions this week working on short/mid irons, the last this evening. They both went very well. Usually don't get good ball striking two sessions in a row. Looking forward to Saturday.

 

Sure to be a colossal debacle with that attitude.

Finally hit 120 mph yesterday with the driver from my SuperSpeed golf middle stick only experiment based on the Par4 Success study.

I have gained 7 mph in the 4 weeks just using the middle stick for protocols. I also haven't re-injured myself doing SuperSpeed golf protocols which is always nice.

2 weeks left to try and hit 125.

Haha don’t worry. Everyone can rest easy knowing that my next round was an absolute stinker. I’ve come close again but didn’t have my best tee game.

i have played sports growing up and am able to play or practise 5 days a week and have a burning desire to be the best I can be so that also helps.
