Stroke lab pistol grip weight

Anyone know the grip weight of the stock stroke lab pistol grip? Is it an extra weighted grip? I want to put on a Superstroke mid slim 2.0 but I don’t want to screw up the weighting aspect ..... thanks

IIRC, the stock grips are 70-80 grams. I honestly think the grip weight deal with SL shafted putters is overblown. The weight reduction of the shaft and redistribution of the saved weight shouldn’t impact grip choice.

is the 30g weight part of the grip or is it in the bit of the shaft? Sorry if dumb question but I am now looking at the lamkin sink grip which feels great. It is 120 grams though. That might be overload......

I heard they are tricky to get out due to risk of damage to the shaft. Let us know how you proceed. Good luck.

I swapped mine with a Superstroke Traxion Pistol GT Tour (69 grams) and it matched the factory weight spec perfectly. The weight in the shaft is not removable easily, but the grip does not come with a weight. Note that this match was with a stock pistol grip. The oversized grip is a lighter grip, so the weight in the shaft is heavier which would change the grip options

I emailed in to Odyssey and they gave me a customer support number to call, told them my son has a 38-inch Stroke Lab Seven and he wants to take that grip off (new putter) and put a longer one on.... and do they have a recommendation???  (gee, I wish they can take it off without destroying it).  I've seen longer ones that are 130-150 gms, but I think those are for the broomstick putters.

Anyone able to remove the plug, in the stroke lab shaft? I ordered the Stroke Lab black 10 w a SS Claw grip. With the intention on adding the backweighting for SS. The putter as is, is way to light, but I don’t want to ruin the shaft trying to remove the plug

Just ordered a used 35” double wide for my son but need to cut it down to 33”. I assume by cutting off 2” the weight will be shorter than 2” and I can either try to get it out of the graphite piece that is cut off, or add a 30g counterweight back in.

Are these the same grip and weight specs for all putters 33", 34", and 35"?  Seems like with different length shafts, the swing weight balance would not be consistent.

I don’t know.  Just what I have found in various places on line and what I have found in the SL putters I have had and worked with.

 

Weights in the sole can be changed as well.  Standard head weights in the SL putters I have had have been the 15g weights.

It’s a bit late for this thread but, I have removed a few stroke lab weights.  There is a small hole in the end that I inserted a drywall screw so I could grab it with pliers.  I have a small butane torch that I used to heat the end of the weight only and this melts the epoxy and the weight comes out easily with no shaft damage.  
 

I changed to a Mid Slim 2.0 with 50 gram weight which is very close to the original set up.   The Double wide has a 30 g brass weight and the #7 has a 40g brass weight so they are not all the same.  I didn’t notice the 10g difference too much.  Also bought some heavier head weights to get the swing weight back to what I prefer.

I’m real late on this, but no need for heat on the head weights - these are easily removed with small circlet pliers.  Stick the 2 prongs in, squeeze grip and pull lightly.  I just wish they made something heavier than the 20 gram weight.
