Best players/cavity back irons with a thin top line?

I absolutely love playing blades because of the confidence they inspire when I'm hitting them well and obviously the look and feel down by the ball. I never said that I should be playing these however... so I'm wondering (and the T100s are a great example) but which players/cavity or even game improvement irons do you think do the best job of mimicking blades with the sleek top line, minimal to no offset, and best feel possible out of a hollow or cavity construction...

I love the idea of the AP3's for example- nice and thin top line, but that amount of offset should be considered a crime...

New Level Golf 902's are excellent. Compact size, thin top line, excellent feel.

The T100's and CB from Titleist from all of the new stuff look the best to my eye. Titleist did just enough to make them look ever so slightly more compact with less offset and thinner top line from previous models. Another one to look at that is underrated is the cobra king forged cb. Thicker sole for some help but a very compact look at address. Also, the Honma tw747v should be a real consideration for anyone looking for this type of iron. Great all around package and for a good price point. One of the best feeling irons I hit this year.

If I was after a player's CB first one is be trying was the 620 CB, was checking out a set a couple of weeks ago and they look remarkably blade like at address. More offset than I liked in the long irons, but a very attractive looking club.

I have seen them in the flesh, but from pics the Giken version of the MC501 needs to be up there with much less offset then the standard version (which has a good top line as well)

If you're willing to go older/used, the Bridgestone J40 CBs have one of the thinnest top lines I have seen on a CB. They are also legendarily soft feeling.

I don't think you will find anything more compact than the Miura 1008 and probably the new TC201 (only seen back pictures but it's supposed to be the kind of replacement for the 1008). In terms of other boutique brands, the New Level 902 is tiny as is the Epon Tour CB. For less money, I think a lot of people would vote Wilson V6, Bridgestone Tour B, or the Tour Edge Exotics CB Tour. More generally you are going to find a lot of votes for T100/620CB, Taylormade P750, Callaway X-Forged '18, or Ping iBlade.

I have heard a lot of great things about the Honma tw747v, but I have not had the opportunity to hit them yet. How would you say they compare to the likes of Miura and Endo forgings?

@moorebaseball I would say they feel very similar to my bridgestone’s. It’s been a while since I hit Miura. They have a lovely soft yet solid feel. Not soft like mizuno and not quite as dense as Miura. Hope this helps.

If you can get over not being a big brand name, I’ve really enjoyed playing Maltby DBM irons. Nice soft forged feel and very easy to hit. Very thin top line and narrrowish sole. Beat iron I’ve found for my sweeper swing. They’re in the bag now with recent clubs being AP2 714/6, Ping i200 and Honma TW X.

Man, they feel great. I've only played one round with them so far - they showed up last Friday and I played Saturday morning at good ol' Destroyer - and to me, they feel just as pure as the MBs. Went through the whole set on the range before the round and I'd have a hard time doing a blind test between them and the MBs. But just knowing there was a little help let me feel good about swinging them harder than I normally would. Like, caught the 6 out on the toe a bit on the ~170 yard par 3 15th and came up just short of pin high. And having hit that exact same shot with the Vapors before, the help was evident - cuz I've been in the front left bunker more than a few times on that hole!
