Nice. Thanks. I don't have trouble with the 5 but having help is never a bad thing. I don't find the 5 hard to hit at all compared to my T-MB 4 iron. Might bend the TMB 2 strong and put the 4 iron blade into play... My issue isn't contact it's more so that they spin a ton in the long irons.

Miura 1007, if you are looking. Longer heal to toe than the MB. Thinner sole than the modern Miura irons. Head shape not as large as the 57s, possibly less offset.

Got to give a +1 to the T100’s. Hit them today properly and they are an incredible looking club. I never thought that my 714 AP2’s looked big. I do now.

IMO the 785 feels way better. There's a reason they moved a bunch of mass back to where you hit the ball on the newer version.

I had a set of Honma tw747v a friend let me keep for a week. One of the best looking irons I have ever placed behind a ball but the feel was only mediocre in my mind. Actually much like the Ping BP, which was a club I really wanted to fall for but did not like the feel.

The best feeling in my opinion is the Epon AF. I was on a trackman yesterday and this was the club that gave me the best feel I have ever experienced, but also the best numbers by a margin. The closest to it I have played is the Srixon z945. Third for me would be the MMC. Not as soft, but a great looking and performing iron was the Titleist 620CB. I could be happy with those in the bag.

Honestly, nothing felt nor produced ball speed like the Epon. With a 7 iron, vs my P770 (which really do feel great), the Epon averaged 800 less rpm of spin (6680) and 5 yards more in distance at 161 yards and the ball melted into those heads.

The Endo forged Epon is the real deal for feel :-)

 

Of course this all comes from a 61 year old with a driver speed yesterday of 98.8. It is hard for me to melt a ball into marshmallow now:-)

Cobra King Forged Tour fit the bill. They were almost too thin a topline and so little offset I couldn't get over the fact they weren't a blade and could never get the confidence I needed with them. That being said, I got a set I am looking to get rid of if anyone is interested.

I am about to try out some 785s, but there is no question and no hesitation for me to say that the J15 CB are the best combination of thin top line, compact size and excellent forgiveness in a players CB. Up till now, they are by far my favorite irons ever. Once I get the 785s in play, we will see.... I loved the 745s but the top line was a bit chunky for me, little better in the 785 but still not as thin as the J15 CB.

 

Edit... The Wilson V6 was a GREAT suggestion. May be the thinnest top line on a CB I have seen...

Performance wise, Cally X forged 18's are amazing. Top line is blade like, look nice in the bag and don't try to kick you in the nuts when you are slightly off. 13's were great too, I'd say feel was better than the 18's but everything else goes to the new ones.

Vapor pro combo is a great shout too. Dropped them for no good reason and would happily go back.

I love my cobra forged irons, coming from some old Burner 2.0s irons (shovels). I bought a set last year on the Classifieds without ever hitting them and can't imagine going back. Good luck offloading them - you shouldn't have an issue!
