Question regarding switching out a 105g shaft for a 120g shaft?

Just received a new set of irons with NPM 105s. Feel like the shaft is too light as I don't feel the shaft and club head as well as I do with my irons with dg s300s.

If I replace the 105 shaft with a 120g shaft, is there anything else that needs to be done? Or will that completely throw off the weighting of the club?

What do you mean by "throw off the weight of the club?" Obviously the weight will be different but beyond that?

Total weight goes up about 15 grams, and SW value raise about 2 SWP, so you get more feel of both shaft weight and head weight.

Its a system to express resistance.

In a classic set with irons, shafts are 0.5" shorter all the way, and to compensate for shorter clubs, head weight goes up 7 grams for each club shorter.

Then they all get the same Swing weight, but its NOT precise like MOI is (Moment of inertia), we mis it by about 1 gram, (progression of 8 grams in set where we use 4/8" between clubs.)

So when we use thew same head weight, and go longer or shorter, feel of head weight changes (mass x rod length)

Naw don't worry about "throwing anything off". You've just lost 25g of static weight from the club and it is impacting you in a predictable way. Going up to a 120g shaft will certainly help get some feel back but if you are used to the 130g S300's then you might find that to still be a bit light.
