I’m not sure consent is the right word for paying someone who’s desperate enough to accept money to do something she absolutely doesn’t want to do, which is the case 99.999% of the time.

Honestly, why go after anyone? Legalize it and regulate it. It is the oldest profession and it is two consenting adults. Is paying one in cash really all that different than spending $100 on shots for the same outcome? Yet, one is applauded and the other will get you locked up.

There are legal prostitutes in Nevada (where it is regulated, they are tested, and it is a legal profession) who are pulling in well into the 6 figures er year. I'm fairly certain they are just fine and enjoying their jobs.

I’d try to educate you on the horrible things that have happened to most of these women that have led them to this “career” path, but I doubt you’d understand it. There is a great deal of evidence to suggest that properly legalized and regulated prostitution can serve to eliminate a lot of the worst social ills associated with the practice. Amsterdam and Nevada provide reasonable examples.

We agree here. It’s no different than the many many 20 somethings that become live in “ girlfriends “ of wealthy older guys. If he stops paying that credit card and car note. She’s gone quicker than Alan Harper when the check comes to the table. And that’s perfectly legal.

 

 

Im not pro legalization.... but. It irks me that it’s just another thing that police and local govts exploit for profit. Rather than stop it. They just collect their cut with these john stings. Much like drunk driving and child neglect /abuse. Much of this is preventable. And isn’t. Why ?

I seem to recall Tiger and Michael getting into bed with some hookers. They allegedly paid a heck of a lot more than $60 though, and didn't actually get caught in a sting. Another example of how going the cheapo route has certain consequences. Tiger has bounced back, only took how many years and how much bucks? Amazing how notoriety influences outcome.
