Yep, typing lag completely gone (and handled pretty quickly) so thanks! I type fast! And often without any thought whatsoever!

 

As far as the quote boxes - is it still on the agenda to eventually have the ability to edit quotes like we used to? Often it's just a sentence or paragraph of someone's lengthy quote I'm responding to.

 

I'm getting so used to this that I plan on really ramping up some b_______ng when we get it back and better, lol! (I kid).

We built this place for us. Not me or the staff here but us. If we don't fix, refine and make it what members want as a whole we die. Die we won't. We are headed in the right direction. Every day, week we are seeing improvements. Did I say we are writing code as we speak for feedback? We are.... so excited.

@br61 Bill... thanks for popping in!!! Hope you game is good. Memory has it you were scratch. I have not given up on getting the original member numbers back. I get initial big pushback but a programmer told me we have the data still. Old and current. I haven't given up on it.

The problem is on mobile...at least on IOS. If the user doesn’t type (and keep) some text below the quote box, the iOS keyboard disappears when the backspace button is pressed. The quote box becomes “selected”, and another backspace press would delete it, but there is no keyboard on the screen any more.

There are so many little quirks on mobile that it can be frustrating to use. For example, while typing this message, every time the edit box gets full, the next line disappears below the typing keyboard. Then I have to manually scroll the screen to see what I’m typing again. I’m pretty sure that I documented this in the bug forum early on after the change.

It seems like the typing lag has been resolved for now, so that’s good.

Anyway, thanks for the hard work that y’all are putting in. I do understand that this has been a frustrating process for you.

Only thing that sucks with the ads is that they are very sensitive. When i scroll down a thread if you even touch the ad while you're scrolling that thing pops up another screen . Happens to me a few times a day

At the end of the day I dont care really....I want you guys to make money for creating this site that's given us all so much. So you gotta get yours. Its not like it inhibits my enjoyment of the site overall. But just saying that

I can remember it maybe for the past week . Again its really not a huge deal. I actually just tried to do it in this thread with a Jeep ad that was coming up and did a few sample scrolls, it got me a couple of times but others it didn't pop up

At the end of the day its really something I can deal with.

Just try it out, if you are trying to scroll thru a thread and you touch an ad (they show up like posts) it will pop up another browser

WRX has been my hang out for a long time. Its still quality in terms of content, and contribution. There have been some people come and go that were great! You still have my commitment. I don't really want to go anywhere else.
