Company that can grind my new RAW Iron set

I have a set of raw iron heads from Japan.

Is there a place I can send the heads to be grinded out perfect and ready for play?

Being raw means they will rust correct?

I have seen wedges rust look is this bad for golf?

Is there a place that grinds and plates each one as well?

that's what makes it not rust is plating it correct?

Im sorry but this dont sound like something for you.

First of all, grinding is done to make each club head like you want them to be, and "perfect" means the grinder has to know a lot about your swing and playing condition, so there is no place to just send them, you will have to find the club fitter who offer this service, meet up, and do the fitting tasks needed. That means this would be a costly prosess.

Yes, chrome and nikkel plating is what prevent the steel from rusting, and rust is no good, the clubs wear out faster if we let them rust. To avoid rusting, Black oxide is whats used the most from raw club heads. It turns them Black, and the black color is actually rust, but made chemical under controlled condition so the surface becomes porous to be able to hold on to a thin film of oil who is the actual (red) rust protection.

Chrome plating could be done, but i dont know any place who can offer all of it, but companies who refurbish irons has that offer, so it seems like at least 2 places would need to be involved to make it all...summary, very high end price.

So, if you dont know what you want from this club heads, nobody can help you, only a very high skilled club maker with tons of grinding experience and knowledge about your swing and playing conditions can do it.

If the heads is "blanks", it takes even more skilled from the grinder to make head weight and COG right for each club head.

Blanks can be 20-30 grams above target and is grinded to get the desired shape of both toe, topline and sole, plus to get COG like we want it to be. Last time i checked, i was the only one in Europe with this offer (grinding of both irons and wedges from blanks), so it might be a handfull only in the US....

If Don White is still going, (i think he is), thats would be the man to talk to, but again, this would be expensive....Don White hand grinded club s for players like Arnold Palmer so he has been around for decades. If he is not available, Jeff McCoy is next on the list, former Scratch clubs (Where Done White was a few years). Im not sure but MAYBE a sponsor of this forum, Joe Kwok could offer something like this, he does know how to grind....but if he does it from "blanks"...i dont know.

Try a talk to them....but i guess they are NOT interested in working on heads you bring yourself, but its the best tip ive got for a project like this.
