7S paired with an M1 8.5 works great for me. Tip has just enough stability where you can really go after one controlled and feel the torque doing its thing. Also able to choke up and "bunt" one out there while steering the ball. No blocks, no whippy hooks. Worth the money

Ordered the Tour AD DI in an M1 from Taylormade in the 6x. I am wondering if the standard tipping at Taylormade (1") versus Manufacturer's recommendation (0") has materially altered the playability. I have about a 105-110 mph club head speed with a medium tempo and I am finding this shaft very stout. Only have had one range session with the club but my impression is that this shaft is way too stiff for me, at least with how it was tip trimmed. I was worried it wasn't going to be firm enough from some of the posts I have read...

Played with it today for the first time and hit it so much better than on the rang yesterday. Anxious to play a few more rounds with it before saying it's firmly in the bag.

Just curious, how long does this shaft (or any other) maintain its performance characteristics?

Basically, do shafts have a shelf life?

I installed a Tour AD DI 6s in my Titleist 905S 9.5 degree driver. These drivers have the shaft inserted all the way to the sole. I did a full bore installation to the sole (about 3 1/2 inches) which will stiffen the shaft a bit therefore no need to tip the shaft. The overall length is about 45.5 inches. This has brought new life in this old driver and it is keeping up with newer drivers. Maybe 5-10 yards shorter but still with the ability to work the ball with a 400cc head. The Tour AD DI 6s isn't too stiff and the results have been pretty decent. My ss is about 105 and I am able to hit nice high draws as my predominant shot pattern but am able to fade the ball consistently. The tip doesn't feel too stiff and I am able to release the clubhead without any need of additional manipulation. So far the shaft has performed as I had hoped.

I think you're right. I was expecting a much lower flight than what is being produced. The launch angle isn't too high so I am good with the performance.

Not for me. Felt sloppy to me. Seemed to spin like crazy. Prefer a stiffer too section.

I now have a 2016 Taylormade M1 tour driver (9.9* actual, 2.2 degree open, 58.2 lie angle) with a Tour AD DI 6s. I had a Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 63 stiff in this driver and absolutely did not like the combination although the Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 73 stiff works very well with my Titleist 906F2 3 wood.

 

The Tour AD DI 6s is such a great driver shaft for me! I am still getting used to this driver but it is a bit longer and easier to hit than the Titleist 905S I was gaming.

I upgraded drivers to a 2018 M3 440cc 9.5 degree head with the AD DI 6S shaft. I am still loving the shaft!!!

DI has always been my favorite shaft in hybrids. Have a fairway and driver shaft coming tomorrow to compare against my IZ’s.

AD-DI 6S has been the best driver shaft so far for me. I swing 95-100MPH. I’ve tried the TP 5S and the IZ 6S and both were good but the DI gives me a little more distance and the way it feels is just fun to hit. I want to try an XC before I make a final decision but for now it is the DI for me!

Launch and spin are perfection for my swing although I do prefer it a bit shorter than standard and a heavier weight.

I have a AD-DI 7S installed on my TM M4 3 wood.  This is such a terrific shaft and works very well in my 3 wood that I am not about to mess with it.

Got this in 7S for my TSR2+ 3w. Feels very whippy/noodle-y. I cannot time this club and have topped it a lot. Also cannot hit it high anymore and I tend to hit up on my 3w. I’m coming from a Tensei AV Blue. To be fair, have only swung it maybe 30 times so not used to it yet, but love my new driver shaft I already bought same to swap this. May either sell or after reading here, tip it and use it in a 5w. Anyone try it in a 5w?? Not sure how much to tip and butt trim or if I just tip it 1”…

ADDI is a weird shaft (for me).  I am ok with it in the driver, absolutely hate it in the fairway woods, but absolutely love it in the hybrids.  I know hybrids and woods are slightly different, but still.

I've played the addi 6x and I'm curious about the IZ 6x.  Can anyone tell me their experience with the IZ 6x or even 6S.  I'm currently tinkering with a VR 6S and UB 6S but they're not suiting me, thanks in advance
