Who will reach 20 wins on PGA Tour

It feels like we went through a serious drought.

Since I've been a fan, you had Love, Woods, Mickelson, Singh, Johnson, Norman..... I might be missing one or two more.

I thought Els might be able to get to 20, but no longer think that. Same with Furyk, he might grab one more but I can't see anymore than that....

 

Who do you think can get there?

Rory and Justin Thomas. If Spieth can recapture his form, he's got a pretty good shot at it.

@GoGoErky I remember him putting on a driving display back in 2017 In Hawaii, back to back tourney wins where had some drives near 400 yards. When I saw that I was thinking here is someone special not to forget he had 4 wins at that point and was like 23. Pretty rare stuff.

Crazy how quickly things can change. We all thought he was a surefire 40+ winner a few years ago, but now people are wondering if he'll even get to 20. That's a wild turn of events.

While it likely won't happen I'd like to see Ernie Els somehow win once more on the PGA Tour to get 20 official tour wins.

I never thought Spieth or anyone from this current generation of PGA Tour players would ever get close to 40 PGA Tour wins. My guess is that no current PGA Tour player ever comes close to either VJ's 34 PGA Tour wins let alone Phil at 44 PGA Tour wins. TBH there aren't many players that will even reach 20 PGA Tour official wins that DJ currently has.

Rory is gonna get there in 2020 easily. He's playing great. JT is too good to not but the depth of field these days; it'll take him a handful of years.

I don't dislike Spieth but I honest-to-god think his meltdown at Augusta broke him. He hasn't been the same since.

None of the other guys on your list. Many of them - Sergio, Rosey, Zach, Strick - too old to cover that much ground. Bubba has interests outside of golf anymore so I'd be surprised to see him win much at all.

There's no single dominant player anymore. ALL these guys are so good and you have the new class moving in. And no one is going to dominate like Tiger in MY lifetime. And Tiger isn't remotely done the way he's been playing.

Rory, JDay, YJS, JT, Rosie, barring significant injury. Winning on tour is dam* hard. 20 Ws boggles the mind.

I certainly never thought that. I have stated in countless threads over the past 4-5 years that none of these “young guns” has a shot at sniffing 40 wins.

Jordan’s a very good player and had one incredible year (and got lucky that DJ 3 putted from 15 feet for him). I do think he will “get it back” and win again/more on tour. 20 career wins will be tough for him but is not impossible.

A good bit of the Jordan hype was “fans” hoping or wishing for a Tiger replacement. There is very high correlation between spieth fanboys and the goons who spent a few years posting about “Tiger should retire, the young guns are too good for him to beat and they are all upstanding young men who don’t curse”, blah blah blah. It was easier to dig up their silly old posts (circa 2015-2017) back on the old version of the site.

Tiger (and begrudging Phil as well) were just that much better than this current crop.
