Anyone else get a sleeve of TruFeel balls today?

Interesting, I didn’t have any issues like that but have heard people say that happens, they usually blame the clubs though,”9”

My second review after replacing the original three. The ball is longer on the irons than the TruSoft. Not much but 3 to 5 yards. Higher ball flight as well. Driver about the same though. Still feels more like the Callaway Supersoft than the TruSoft. This will be my new ball.

I always start by blaming myself. But when it happened again on a full swing shot I figured there may be something else going on.

I played another 18 with the TruFeel today on a different course (also with hard and fast greens). It didn’t stop quite as quickly today. But I only had 1 ball explode off the club face. This shot also caused a double bogey as I flew the green again and into a hazard. But it only happened the one time today.

This ball is definitely hot off the irons compared to ProV1x which is my normal ball. V1x a little longer off the tee and stops better on greens, but not as soft of course.

I’m afraid that for me at least, the TruFeel will be a fun experiment this winter when I’m not so much playing for scores and don’t have to sweat the occasional bomb off of 9 iron.

A friend gave me a sleeve and after playing 18 with them I don't notice much improvement or difference when compared to the TruSoft. Didn't notice a distance or dispersion improvement (but wouldn't notice incremental differences particularly with longer clubs), but I did think they spin a little more on full and partial wedge shots and chips, for a 2 piece ball. Durability is good, like the TruSoft. Good yellow color. Alignment lines might help some with their putting but not me.

All in all a good 2 piece ball that I could game in the winter when a less expensive ball comes into play. But I stock up on great deals on urethane balls (z star 2 for 1 deal for example) so the TruFeels aren't cheaper for me. When the leaves fall and balls disappear I dip into my bin of balls I've used throughout the summer and have minor scuffs--and truth be told, my scores don't generally suffer.

I played the TruFeel yesterday for the first time. FWIW, I ONLY use Chrome Softs, and have for years now, going back to the Hex Chromes and even before that, I think. But I'll confirm, at least for myself, what Titleist says; even though this replaces the DT in their line, it is in NO way similar to that ball.

I don't have anything bad to say about the TruFeel, and at that price, I'm really interested. In keeping with my idea that everything is about the same off the tee now, the TruFeel was as long as the Chrome Soft, and my distances relative to my regular group seemed the same. So I don't think it's longer, but that isn't surprising.

What IS surprising is how quickly the TruFeel stopped on the greens. Every approach shot that I hit well was right beside its pitch mark, which for a $23/doz ball was surprising. The probable cause was the added height; that ball goes HIGH off irons! I was playing on bent grass greens that were pretty soft, so I'll be curious to see how it stops on Bermuda.

The other noticeable thing about the ball was that the sound and feel on chips and putts was NOT at all harsh. Not once did I notice a difference here from the Chrome Soft, which really surprised me.

So on the whole, I guess I'd compare it more to a Noodle in terms of feel, but a Pinnacle in terms of trajectory, but with better "stopping power" on the greens than either of those. At that price, I can see Titleist selling a LOT of these balls.

I'm super interested in trying these for fall/spring balls here in MN. I'll have to pick up a dozen.

I played this ball today for 18 holes on a very soggy course. It behaved very similar to the dt trusoft. It seemed to check up a little more on chips but that may be the soft conditions. If you catch it right it has a little more pop than the e6 and I could hit it high or low which is nice for me as I have trouble hitting most balls high. I had 5 birdies and one bogey. I reached a par 5 in 2 with a boring 5 wd from 220. It is point and shoot mostly but was consistent distance wise off my irons. It putted consistently. I will keep it in the bag until the greens dry out. I like the lower compression feedback of this ball.

I picked up a dozen of these as an Xmas gift for my wife after she became quite interested in them after watching Mark Crossfield's review. She played the QST this past season and saw their benefit over her previously favored Wilsons (because of their very low compression). I'm interested to see how these do for her.

Signature!

I’ve got some inbound from Santa (hopefully) for use this winter. I always go softer during the winter months so it doesn’t feel like you’re hitting ball bearings. I alternate gaming PV1x’s and Cally CS during warmer months. Different balls but when my swing is dialed in I prefer the PV’s. Anyways, I’m looking forward to trying the TF’s out and will report back after the holidays.

Played the dt trusoft in a 15 to 20 mph wind in the final men’s club event of the year. Into the wind 400 yard par 4 driver 4 hybrid 15 yard short. Downwind 530 yd par 5 dogleg. ( 495 when cutting dogleg). Driver 4 hybrid from 230 pin high right. Very stable ball in the wind. I put this review in the tru feel section because the balls are so similar. Shot 2 under 70 won by 4. I did put a small cut in the cover with a 9 iron groove which I found odd for a surlyn cover though the iron heads are new. Course was soft so stopping shots was not a problem. Love the feel off the irons- lower compression is great.
