reckon i could get the trail elbow closer to the lead elbow, at least at the beginning of the downswing. feels like this could help store power in the trail hand until i'm ready to "pour it on" like mister snead discusses. also seems like this should help throw the club head up and around while flattening the shaft.

 

aside: i'm digging how the trail knee doesn't kick out as early, however, i wonder if it's a function of mechanics, speed, or something else. for example, when i want power i push _hard_ off of my trail foot, and though i could be wrong i suspect it would hurt my back to prevent that foot from coming off of the ground and kicking out that knee as early. anyway, something to keep in mind.

in terms of getting shallower than before, i think this is pretty alright now. time to focus on other stuff.

so i've continued to work on getting more shallow because my old tendencies still show up more than i'd like. but over the past couple of weeks i've made a bit of progress and my ball-striking/confidence has improved significantly. i've probably tried more little things than i'd care to write up but there's one thing in particular that's helped me piece things together: the HANDS.@laneholt, although your feedback was kind of inaccessible to me at the time i've never stopped thinking about the role of the hands. so thank you for your comments, i'm sure they played a part in me thinking about the hands more and benefiting from that. additionally, i apologize for not trying to better understand the meaning behind your words and being a bit antagonizing instead. if i could go back in time i would focus on appreciating and understanding your enthusiasm instead of trying to be a funny jerk. anyway, thank you again.

really happy with progress getting more shallow and fixing some other nagging issues like spinning out on my back foot and not getting my COG far forward enough on the DS.
