every time i search the results come up blank. I am searching things like "titlest" "f9" and other broad terms and it says "no results". This feels very OK Boomer but i can't figure it out for the life of me. I noticed about a week ago and have tried everything i can think of. I'd search the forums...but you know, search results are blank...

It was working but I noticed it wasn’t working last night. I did the same. I searched modus and nothing.

 

at first I was worried that I was accidentally posting a bunch of new topics called “modus,” and was going to get shredded for doing that.

I realize the site is going through some growing pains, but what happened to the old search function and if there is a new one, how in the F do you work it? I have tried multiple times and nothing has come up once for any search I have input. I understand this has to be done, but man, there were some REALLY great features about this site that are now non existent... Hope it is just temporary!

I just started one in the ClubWRX section... oops... To be fair, you can not search, so how would one know where to look for this info? LOL I get the site has to go through some changes but man, some of the best parts are missing right now!

Just do a google search with the word GolfWRX after what you are searching for. The results will keep you busy for hours.

easiest Thing to do is google “ big Bertha 815 golf Wrx “ and pick threads from there.

No biggie. To be fair, "search" not working IS a pain, but to start it in here ???

Anyway, the "Help Desk" section IS listed on the MAIN Forum page (as below) and one might think to look for site problems there.

And if one reads the board by "Recent Discussions", surely they would have seen the website's "Help Desk" area - unfortunately FAR MORE than one should, and might click on that forum to check to see if a serious problem has already been reported.

This forum has been broken since the website overhaul. Whoever did the engineering on the upgrade should be embarrassed. Of course GolfWRX was probably also penny pinching. Management should be embarrassed. They have the best golf community on the web and they are the best aggregators of content and this was the best they could do?

As of now there is no other platform I can shift to as user but this shortsightness typically spells stage 1 of a downward spiral for this type of online business.

Actually I had to enter the topic for search twice....first one comes up empty. Second one with more parameters set (ie duration of search) and it worked like a champ.

I don’t think a parameter is needed but once second search done, it seems to then work on all consecutive results.

The search within a thread, using the spyglass at the top or bottom of the page seems to work OK.

The search ANYWHERE on the site using the spyglass in the upper right hand corner or any screen does not work properly.

In addition, the search results appear random. Not only is there no facility that I can see for ordering the results, a poor omission in itself, but I can't see a pattern.

e.g. I searched for "stroke lab 10 ten" The resulting posts were "ordered" as follows, Nov 26, Nov 21, Nov 23, Nov 29, Dec 18, Dec 5.

Using the "spyglass" to the top or bottom left of a thread to search within THAT thread only, seems to work just fine.
However, in the UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER search also seems to work BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,
Up there, DON'T BOTHER to type in your search argument. Just click on "Search" or "Advanced Search"
THEN, on the next page, type in your search argument and any other search info you need and proceed.
I'm on a MAC desktop using Chrome.
