Markdowns on Ping G410

Received an email from Golfdiscount showing that Ping G410 stuff at a discounted price. Has it been that long since the 410 release or is Ping speeding up their release cycles? Ping is usually very restrictive about pricing so I am surprised to see this stuff at a discount so soon.

I keep looking for a reason to “upgrade” my G400 LST, and they keep popping up. I just can’t quit that 400 though. Maybe one of these days I’ll see if the next one’s better than mine.

I understand how you feel. G400 Max always ends up back in the bag for me. Funny how the Max isn't discounted yet and the 410 line is.

To be honest, I wouldn’t trade my 400 head for a 410 in similar condition. I’d still like to own a 410 though, for no good reason other than I apparently want to own one of every driver.

Sucks they changed adaptors so you can’t swap 400/410 shafts

Yet is also why the G410 line is attractive, they changed it to add the flat lie setting

I like the feel/sound of the 410 hybrids better than the G400 line, for sure.

I just walked into my local DSG and walked up to the counter and asked if they’d honor the 25% discount they are going to have site wide on cyber Monday and they did. Walked out with a 19* G410 hybrid for $164.99 before tax

nice. which dicks was this? my dicks was marked clearly that the 25% discount did NOT apply to any 410 series clubs.

I was in the same boat. I had the G400Max and ending up going with the G410Plus. Ping will never release a new driver if it doesn't outperform the previous version. sounds crazy, but the g410 is better.

I don't doubt that it's better. I just am not sure it's better enough to spend the money to upgrade. Especially considering that I'd have to upgrade the shaft, too, because they are not interchangeable. I don't know that I can find value in that kind of expense, if the improvement isn't obvious.

I just pulled the trigger on a brand new Ping G410 SF TEC 10.5 from eBay for $365 + tax. Pretty sweet deal in my opinion.
