I love how people get so caught up in the custom fit marketing, when a player like woods, who's 6'1", plays basically clubs right off the shelf (other then being about 2 degrees weaker than todays standards in lofts).
Tiger Might be 6' on a good day, I always thought he was taller also, but got next to him at tourney(07') us open @ oakmont. Big dude though, definitely miles away from his younger (Standford and 97' masters) build.

Wonder if this "Covert Limited" line doesn't include the Nike swoosh on the club head like Tiger's 3 and 5 woods.
Actually it depends on the size of the clubhead.

According to Nike, their engineers discovered that your eye cannot see anything more than 1.25 inches (I believe that was the number) away from the ball. That is why the Swoosh is where it is on the Coverts. And I have to tell you, not once has it become a distraction for me.

So, if the limited clubhead is significantly smaller than the other lines, there may not be room for the swoosh, because it will be less than 1.25 inches from the ball
I completely agree with this, the swoosh is totally unnoticeable while standing over a ball. I have no clue it's even there, and the red has become very comforting.

I think the "+2 3/2" typo on the screenshot actually should read "+2 3/4". 8.5* + 2 3/4* = 11.25* effective loft.
My understanding was:
plus face angle = closed
minus face angle = open.

So then above would make sense. closed adds to effective loft. I find it hard to believe that Tiger plays witha 2 3/4 closed face?

I may be able to get confirmation, but that said, I'd be SHOCKED if tiger was playing a closed face anything.

Especially when you consider how hard he releases and he plays generally a cut...

Then his club can't be a static 8.5* of loft because he would then be hitting with an effective loft of 5.75* which is kind of off he charts. If it is 2 3/4 open the driver loft must be adjusted to 14* to get to the 11.25* number.

Work the other way.

His ACTUAL loft is 11.25 to get to 8.5 actual loft.

I have an OVEN ISSUED VRS Hybrid with 16.25 loft that is 2.5 open and plays 14 actual.

Your math makes sense and I agree.

But, why does it say theat he has a VR tour driver 8.5*. I don't think these have the adjustable hosel (not sure actually), so you mean to say he has a driver marked as 8.5* but it has been bent to the 11.25* and 2 3/4 open? Now that doesn't make sense.

Actually, maybe the VR tour driver does have an adjustable hosel. Can't seem to find much on the Nike website, but I did find a picture elsewhere.
No it does not. He has a driver marked 8.5* but the actual loft is 11.25*. The manufacturing tolerances can allow for this type of discrepancy.

What sticks out to me is his PW and 9 iron are at 63 deg lie angle, 8 iron 62 deg.. The man is 6 foot 1 or so? Standard lie angle off the rack for most OEM's PW is 64 deg. And yes I understand difference between between static and dynamic but have always been surprised by uprightish standard lie angles from manufacturers.

Those are not soft stepped raw lengths. 37 is the length for both the wedge and 9 iron and they go up in half inch increments from there.

Pretty sure it's the same as when he had the Mp-14s in the bag. 50, 56, 60
