I know lots of veteran players who absolutely hate the fourteen full-length dividers. (Sometimes fourteen dividers PLUS a putter well.) But...

they keep your grips from being abused when you shove a club into your bag, they make it easy to find your club at first glance, they let you see immediately if you've left a club out on the course, but most of all--they just make your bag look so neat.

Plus the old bags have the garment pocket in back where you can't get to it on a cart. So add the side pockets as a plus to the new bags as well.

I accept the reluctance of veterans like Stun to accept them, however. I'm still complaining about not having steel spikes. We're all stubborn about something.

I am 110% behind you on the steel spike issue too. Had a kid about 16 at the bag drop ( his Dad is one of the course owners) asking me about my Burton bag. I asked him if it was heavy? Shoot no he told me it is lighter than all those cart bags the other old guys carry. Of course I told him I did not carry everything but the kitchen sink either. Got to looking and one of the guys on my team had a newer Callaway 14 way cart bag and that thing was larger than my Burton mini staff

Might have been Callaways at that time, though. Can't remember for sure. And it was the senior LA City Am, not Open. :-)

@Obee I know you’re big on hybrids for your 5-7 irons. Did you ever try utility irons (T-MB, Callaway UT, Ft Worth Hi, etc.)? What made you settle on the Adams V4?

I love this bag! Love the thought behind it. I imagine the Champions Tour is packed full of setups like this. To echo the question though have you tested any other hybrids/ UT irons in those 5/6/7 slots and if so what were they or what would you play?

Nice bag, dig the style. This has to be up there with the best WITB comments of the year. In my case, its really not funny... potentially getting beat by 8 and I'm playing blades. Ego in this game, It's worse than carrying a traditional 1 iron.

Nice setup Obee. Do you play the hybrids at their stock length, or are they shortened to closer to iron length?

Curious on your driver setup, Obee. Sig says Atmost Red...but you mentioned the tour 65 S in the thread. Are you still on the Max for driver? Have you done much shaft testing on the Max...whats your driver SS range?

I went to the Max last season... started with the tour 65, then Tensei orange and finally settled on a Speeder II 569 and really liking it.

They are standard length, but on the heavy side since I use x shafts.

Yeah, I have the Ping G400 Max with the Atmos Tour Spec Red in stiff flex. LOVE it. In fact, so much so that I put it in my 3-wood also. Getting one for the 5-wood next. I've always preferred shafts at 67 - 75 grams in my woods. Just don't like the feel of lighter shafts.

Driver swing speed is 95 - 101 depending on a variety of factors.

I've tested quite a few hybrids over the years, and the thing is that I just do not like anyone's high-loft hybrids as much as my Adams. Everyone makes a good 19 degree or a 21 or even 23 degree, but when you get to 26, 29, 32, hardly anyone makes them, and they are all too upright for me. My Adams I ordered 2 degrees flat and they are just what I need.

Obee...have you tried the ping hybrid...since you like the Max. I was the same on hybrids...tried Callaway for years, but look and feel much too upright. Went to Ping 4 Hybrid last year and really liked it. Ping does a 5 and 6 as well. I may even try a 5.

Pings, off the shelf, always feel too light for me. I'm definitely open to them, but I would really need to experiment with shafts and demo them and no one ever carries heavy, stiff/x-stiff shafts to demo for the higher-lofted hybrids. I'm like a unicorn for fitting purposes!!

I know what you mean about demo shafts for the higher lofted woods and hybrids. When I went looking for a 7w, and later a 9w, I had the same problem. I wanted the loft, but not a complete noodle to go with it. With the 9w, I had to make a complete guess and get a shaft installed separately.

Mizuno CLK s I ve found to be good. Also I have a collection of Adams XTD Ti heads. I think that’s my favourite hybrid ever. How about Cleveland Launcher HBs.?

@Obee - always like to track you the hybrid king to see what you're playing. I see you've updated your 3 wood and 3 & 4 hybrids. Curious if the hybrid update was due to additional distance gained with the new 3 wood or what?
