Interesting that the Staff Model wedges are forged 8620 but the hi-toe versions are cast 431 SS per Wilson's press release. Wonder what drives that?

I hope they sign a pro who is comittied to playing their driver. My sense is that a tour player can get a quality driver tuned in to his specs. Why be in the driver and ball business if you cant back it up with players who use the stuff.

I think Wilson is trying very hard to have GW a driver he can play. Time will tell.

Actually really digging the HT. Looks like it’s less toey than PM/TM hi-toe, couldn’t get used to looking down at the awkward shape of those.

Between the staff model blades, these wedges, and the new utility Wilson is strong outside of the woods category. I don’t understand how a company with the resources Wilson has can continuously strike out. Cortex I thought was a step in the right direction however, was close the competing with the big boys.

They've been moving in the right direction for a long time, but they can't quite get over the hump. It's a hard sell in our shop. We can prove they perform iron and wedge wise, but customers gravitate away from Wilson. Woods wise, they still have a ways to go for some reason. It's not due to lack of effort, but they're determined. No one can fault them for that.

I agree. If I was Tim Clark I would confer with the folks at Lousville Slugger and DeMarini softballs bats on tech to help them in the metal woods side. I would use the football or other team sports to improve golf bags, gloves and other accessoies.Heck, between all of their sports who makes more balls than Wilson They are always so close but somehow dont get over the hump.

I've played most everything but mainly I've been a Ping guy for years . Mostly because Ping catered to us lefties better than any other company. After purchasing the blades from Wilson I will never overlook them again. I haven't tried it yet but I understand the Cortex driver performs as well as anything else on the market .

Wilson tweeted the silhouette of the D7 Forged with the caption, "effortless distance".

Probably means stronger lofts than the C300 Forged & I'm fine with that.

The V6’s are actually in stock, it’s just the stock set is sold out. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not, but if you go to their website and click on the V6, chose the custom 7 or 8 piece set, you can get any iron shaft at no upcharge. I always wanter to try the steelfibers so I ordered the 110x’s, 4-P...

The brand is stuck with the box set and cheap moniker perception from the general public and their retail presences isn’t anywhere near the other brands which makes it hard as well.

dvd has out eyes on the brand but the product from it has been a dud

It's such a shame really. My Staff blades are a thing of beauty and they perform every bit as good as the Mizuno MP20's.

Agree. Their irons have always been good. their blades and v6 were good looking irons.
