Direct numbered links to subsequent pages are gone

They were there yesterday, and have been for numerous years, and allowed easily opening each page in a new tab for later consumption. Now there's some lame scripty nonsense that only lets you move to the next page and won't let you direct it to a new tab. This is the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for me. I've been silently tolerating the redesign for a while, but if this malfeasance isn't corrected ASAP I won't be back.

Further investigation reveals that if I scale the font size large enough to actually read the text, the numbered links are replaced by the scripty nonsense. Only by scaling the font size too small do the direct numbered links return. SMDH

I assume you're talking about these, yes ?

Different computers and different browsers work,,,,, well,,,,,, differently.

I'm on a MAC desktop and yes, if I scale the page larger those number eventually disappear BUT, on my PC, the font is really large before they disappear.

Now, about the link pages. Now I personally never open, say, Page 22 in another tab when I'm on Page 21 but your browser typically controls how this works.

e.g. If I wanted to open "Page 22" (or 31) in a new tab I "right-click" on the link and then click on "Open link in new tab". This is browser (in my case Chrome) related but I believe most(?) browsers work similarly (Firefox does). FWIW, if the link I click on is NOT on the current site, it automatically opens in a new tab.

I know these settings are "somewhere" but I can't seem to find them,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
