Welding slant neck on Scotty Cameron X5

Will cost you north of $300. I'm having mine be a Justin Thomas copy with top sight line and some different paint fill.

 

I've always liked the putter head feel and look but can't stand the double bend shaft.....on any putter for that matter.

Yeah if you could remember to send some pics afterwards it would be greatly appreciated. Having played a blade for so long, with that double bend shaft and being face balanced and all, I tend to miss it left. I was hoping this would be a viable outlet to get it more like my blade.

The conversion starts at $300 depending on what you want done. You also need to supply the putter. They're going for 175-220 on the Bay so add that if you don't have one already plus shipping to Washington state.

 

I just sent in my head. I'm going to shaft it myself with a matte black stepless. Still. For $500-600 you have something you can't buy off the rack.

Getting it back from Tom on Monday. In the mail now. Have a Matte black stepless shaft to put on it. This started off as a standard X5 that needed a refinish. Pretty excited about it.

I added the top sight line. A Few bucks extra. Plus return shipping. Final tally was a bit higher than $300, but yes, I'd say it's money well spent if you like flow necks. Tom does nice work. If you think it up, he can do it.

Generally 3-4 weeks depending on how busy he is. Mine was quicker.

Is the putter still face balanced?

No. Not face balanced.

To do that the vertical section of the neck would need to be much longer and/or the weld point would need to move closer to the center of the club.

I wanted a little bit of toe hang on it.

I have to imagine you could ask Tom to do it that way.

Contact slighter for the price but $300 easy. It adds about 15 to 20 grams weight to the head and gives it about a 4 o'clock toe hang. I love mine!!!!!

I had a similar thing done to my W5. It adds 20g so you have to off-set with lighter weights.
