Does anyone actually like their own swing on video?

I don't hate my swing, but also don't love it. It's better than it was this same time last year. Would like hands a little higher and plane steeper and of course too not early release.

I like it, looks like theres not a ton of moving parts. You must be pretty consistent?

Yes, that's my garage. I'm upper midwest, so that's where I do most of my work in the winter.

I'm hoping it will be more consistent once these habits are ingrained. I was taking it back past parallel, had a sway of the ball in the backswing and early release because arms are trailing body. Still early releasing but it's not as egregious as it was 18 months ago when I started swing work.

At this point I'm doing my best to disassociate results of the shot (impact, shape, etc) with the goal of just accomplishing task(s) I'm working on like shorter backswing and better pelvis movement. Other segments of my practice focus strictly on strike quality and no technical swing adjustments.

Last time I hit outside (we have a similar to Top Golf concept here with Flightscope Range in every bay) I hit a lot of big draws and hooks.

I think the upload quality is fine. YT just automatically sets the playback quality according to the internet connection speed at the moment of hitting „play“. You can set the quality manually, access the menu through the three dots top right.

I hate seeing my swing on video and I never look at it. I pay a guy to do that. He assures me that I’m fine and judging by the flight of the ball, he must be sort of correct. Any way, unless I find one that doesn’t have an old guy in it, you won’t see it here.

I won't post mine, but I've definitely learned to hone my flaws in a very predictable manner. The worst is when you're playing your absolute best, puring shots and then look at video to only appear like a hack. I think I will work on my address posture, maybe that'll shore things up, too hunched over. May be good for putting, but not the swing.

download the YT app. Super simple. So easy I take video's constantly, like eating mac and cheese, pooping, watching tv etc. Fun to go back and see what I ate for brunch a few months back. My channel does not get many views though :(

I have the app but when I try to upload it says I have to grant access to my phots and microphone. I don’t know how to do the microphone part because when I go into settings that isn’t an option anywhere.

Might have to give this a go, I never record directly from YT. I just record from my phone's camera app, trim off the excess before and after the swing and then upload to YT.

My channel isn't exactly highly viewed or "trending" either - but as you say, nice to be able to check in on progress from time to time

I think my swing looks substantially better than the scores it produces, but I still see a lot of nitpicky things I'd like to change. Had some injury issues, but haven't broken 90 in my last 10 rounds now. My good shots are very good. Bad shots are very bad. I think I must be doing something catastrophic on the course like moving my head forward of the ball.

I edit the video like you do. Open the app and press upload from camera roll. Select the video and upload it. Super easy!

I misunderstood! I thought you meant you were recording from within the YT app itself and bypassing using your phone's camera app.

I don't think my swing looks bad on video...I know it does. Almost wish I had never watched it in the first place. I've tried hard to correct the issues, but I just can't seem to make it happen. I've got your classic OTT swing with casting and the whole nine yards. Hideous! I won't put it up here because I'm technologically challenged and also don't want to make anyone sick to their stomach.

I don't like to take a video of my swing. Other than the camera adds ten pounds on my body lol, I really don't like to take a video or watch my swing because I tend to change it so that it would look nicer. But I know how that ends up. So I stay away from doing that and just rely of what I see on my ball flight and fix it from there. So far it worked for the last three years.

I watch too much Rory or Adam Scott or Ann Van Damme that it makes me sad when I watch my own swing.

Thank you, it's a definite improvement for me, at the beginning of last year my swing was in bad bad shape (shanks, huge blocks, huge hooks, etc). This year I want to work with an instructor in-person consistently to really dial in my swing.
