new cobra driver line

saw a laminated page of the 3 new cobra drivers on my pros desk it has comp/metal on the bottom and they are ment for diff. swing speeds the one ment for 104+ has a .5 open faice it is just like the speed series idea but its a comp. head......... sorry about no name some thing wants me to say X9 or Xq had a funky letter that i didnt know if it was a q or a 9 i dont even rember if the X was in there or not..... cool looking at the bottom but didnt have pics of set up

I have heard a rumer that the Cobra was going to make some new Comp drivers in 3 different head types for different players.

 

JB Holmes plays a comp, and likes it, maybe these will be similar to the one he is using.

 

Its funny becasue comp drivers seem to be 50/50 with players, they either love it or hat it. Personaly I think its a great way to move weight around the head, and non of the models that I have tried sounded as bad or unplayable as others have stated in the past.

.5* open face would be a nice improvment over most of the shut faces that I have seen on the market lately.

to add that the 3 have different face degrees .5 open .5 shut and 1 degree closed

 

off the top of my head the .5 open is swing speeds for 104+

 

and the other 2 are ment for lower swing speeds

It would be nice to see the right-to-left fearing market, small as we are, begin to get some more attention. Sure curing a slice is the sexy fix, but I think a club outrightly designed for high swing speeds with an open face could become very popular.

Good find guys. This doesn´t look much different than the Speeds in shape does it? Maybe a speed with composite replacements in the weak areas like Mizuno´s driver. I was hoping for a more extreme design. because with their fast back crown thing they can do a hi-bore and create a very deep head and have their huge face, and still not break the cc limit.

 

Any guesses on what the x/st and the HS9 stand for?

 

I just noticed that the heel and toe have some grey thing that aren´t as dark as the bottom... things that make you go hmmmm..
