Vice Balls

I got 5 dozen of the Vice Pro Plus balls last year and loved them. As a mid handicapper they worked pretty well for me and were comparable to the Pro V1x as far as I could tell. I’ve heard of some people having durability issues but I didn’t have any problems. Anyone have a different experience?

I like the Vice Pro and Pro Plus a lot! I found that the ball really turns yellow after you hit a tree, but can definitely see this not being an issue for others who usually stay away from the timber. Jokes aside, I think my favorite part about Vice balls is the nice thick alignment line and the feel when putting.

I play the Pro. Tried the Pro Soft with the matte finish and they got dirty as h e l l and didn't clean up well. Other than that, Vice is the ball I play now.

I've played the Vice Pro. I liked it. The putting alignment line was perfect. Also played the OnCore Elixr. That's a good one too. But I just keep an eye out on Golf Galaxy because the Srixon Z-Stars have deals all the time. They had two dozen for $40 a while back and I bought a ton.

Ive played them in the past and theyre a good ball. As others noted, if the cover getting scuffed up bothers you, you may want to look elsewhere but the scuffs never bothered me and didnt seem to make any difference on how the ball plays.

Id probably be playing the Vice Drive now if the Cut Red wasnt cheaper than the Vice. I tried the Vice, Snell and Cut and they all played pretty much the same for me, so I went with the cheapest one, which was the Cut.

From my understanding it’s like the Pro V1 vs the Pro V1x but I could hav misunderstood that. I had the pro plus because I used to play a Pro V1x and I loved it. Just got a couple boxes of Pro’s during the holiday sales to try something softer

I played the pro all of last year (about 60 rounds) and recently switched the MTB Black (last 15 rounds or so). Both are good balls, but I think the vice pro is slightly shorter with all clubs. It's also quite a bit softer around the greens. I felt like I got more short game spin on chips with the vice and it was easier to play feel shots. When I got to full wedges and irons, it seemed like the snell spun just as much if not more. But it's definitely firmer. Overall, both are great balls and there is no reason to ever pay $48 for . box of Titleists ever again.

Vice Pro has been my primary ball since the end of 2018. I occasionally grab a sleeve of something else (Pro V1, TP5, etc.) and just can't seem to justify the cost difference based on the Vice Pro's performance. It's durable enough, given the price. And, I've taken advantage of their customization deals to put some pretty funny sh*t on them.

I'm in the same boat. Started this thread to see if others felt the same way. As a mid-high handicapper I also can't really justify the cost difference for the performance. Little disturbing that a lot of people have had durability issues but I haven't had that issue (maybe I lose them too frequently?)

For winter, I use the Pro Soft (if really chilly), its matte finish does seem to attract mud, but hey, it's winter golf. I also like the Pro, plays like a ProV1 for most part. Lime color is super visible. I've had no durability issues, and even if did, for $20/doz, what should we expect compared to other balls costing twice as much or more?

If buy 5 (I usually wait until they run e-coupon for additional dozen free) so 6, they're about $23 a dz, great deal for a solid performing ball.
