The only “long” hybrid anyone needs is the lowest lofted one, the others are just fitting gaps. I’ve had great success with several 17* ones - currently Cobra F8, Ping, Titleust H1 19* turned to 18*.

+1.

In years of trying to find the perfect hybrid I haven't found one that goes consistently longer without losing what makes it a hybrid.

If you want something that does go longer, and yet is just as easy to hit, save a bunch of money and get a Cobra F6 Baffler.

It has the shaft length of a hybrid and the head of a 4-5 wood.

I hate hybrids and can't hit fairway woods. but I can hit the F6 baffler.

Best club Cobra has ever made.

Do a search for the rave thread here.

If you're already in jailbreak, there isn't really much to do other than go softer and lighter. I've heard XXIO is great and we are bringing them into the studio I work at this season to try. However, as many have stated, it does sound like you are a candidate for a fairway wood instead of a hybrid at this stage. 1.5" longer shaft, typically hotter faces due to the different material and face structure, and lighter shafts. Try a Tour Edge exotics 7 wood. There are scores of older models that can be had for pennies of retail and they are a bonus because they often offer a few really good stock shafts with them for free.

Even the newest models, the EXS is fairly cheap brand new and comes with a real deal Tensei CK Blue as stock, has adjustable sole weights, and features the same cup face tech of their more expensive older models.https://www.touredge.com/exsfairway

Do you like the hybrids otherwise?

I have several in my bag because I find them more versatile than long irons from problem lies, rough and fairway bunkers, particularly as an older player.

If you like hybrids for other reasons and want more length just pick a lower lofted hybrid.

Was going to be my suggestion as well. But given the size of some of the 'hybrids' now, they are basically updated late model fairway woods anyway just rebadged, like everything else in golf...

You might find useful tools from among the Cobra hybrids, especially the F6, F7 and F8.

F6 and F7 adjustable, and offer blended lofts: 2-3H | 3-4H | 4-5H | 5-6H. They have a lot of the same features as my FlyZ hybrids, which I will describe. (FlyZ model hard to find anymore).

For example, the 4-5H head has a loft range of 22* to 25*, with both neutral and draw lie settings. Shaft is 39.75". I play the 4-5H at minimum 22* loft as a 4H which means it is neutral lie with slightly open face. Out of a square stance I get a slight fade, which is useful since my normal flight is a slight draw. I can draw the 4H from a closed stance.

With the blended lofts, one can get a shorter-shafted 4H (using lofted-down 4-5H head) or a longer shafted 4H (using a lofted-up 3-4H head) without having to cut the shaft length. This makes it a handy model for the one or two clubs that you adjust to bridge the driver/FW and numbered iron distance gaps.

Other details on models: F6 has no sole rails and is adjustable, F7 has sole rails and is adjustable, F8 has sole rails but is bonded (non adjustable).Note on Cobra long clubs, including hybrids: the stock shafts tend to be slightly heavier than average. So, don't be surprised if you need to go a flex lighter to maintain distance. For my FlyZ hybrids, I play a 73-gram Lite (senior) flex shaft that works just great. All other clubs in my bag are R-flex.

Hit a 4H and a 7 fwy and see which performs best for you.

I replaced my RBZ hybrid with the F8 and gained about 10 yards. My son got the old RBZ and couldn’t believe the F8 was longer until he hit it.

I don’t know if you’ll find a hybrid much longer than the Rogue X. It is the longest hybrid, loft for loft, that I have tried. Ball rockets off the face like a fairway wood and has fairly low spin for a hybrid. The only possibility, for a hybrid, that might potentially be longer would be the Super Hybrid. But, beyond that you might have to look into a fairway wood.
