Tourstriker Planemate

Recommended Posts

I think time will tell if it hurts or helps their business. Waiting is tough especially in the winter here when we can't really play but since I have never run a business I am too ignorant of this to really comment much.

I just keep checking back here to see what people have posted and hoping to see that someone has gotten a shipping notification. Until mine arrives I will continue to work on my putting and keep up with my honey-do list so when it does come I can devote some time to it. I really do enjoy reading the different perspectives on this whole thing. Interesting stuff. Hopefully we can be back to posting about the actual item fairly soon. Sounds more fun than this as interesting as it is.

I’m sorry, I still believe in under promise and over deliver.

Being a small operation doesn’t mean you get a free pass for making less than good decisions and not paying the price for them. They set the delivery date and they controlled how many orders they took..all things they have control over.

I have no dog in the fight as I made something very similar after seeing Dan in Dec 2017 to help feel keeping my hands up at the top of my backswing.

They set an estimated ship date that they haven't met yet, estimated gives them some wiggle room but underpromise, overdeliver still applies.

If it was out of their hands that would be one thing, but the boxes have literally been sitting in the office awaiting shipping labels. If I estimate I will get something, even minor, to a boss or customer on Wednesday and I can't for some reason, I do everything I can to deliver asap, working through the weekend if needed. Clearly, here there is zero urgency and the boxes were just sitting ideally over the weekend.

Anyway, just saw that Martin is Canadian and now chalk it up to cultural differences. They don't have the same insane corporate grind we have in America. Enjoy life, smash drives, promise about what you think is right and deliver whenever you get around to it.

I posted that a few days back - he was joking - see my posts 999 and 1017.

show where he posted that today - please.

Or maybe send email to their support address instead of bitching on here .

I don’t know about you boys but, I joined a private range just so the public won’t ridicule me when they see me hitting balls with elastics attached to my waist. Haha. but seriously, let’s just be patient. No shipment date was promised. Only a strong desire to get these out as fast as possible.

If Patrick Reed could get through these past few months with all the heckling and BS surrounding him, then we can get through these next few days waiting for a planemate. Be strong. Go practice chipping.

Which may be partially true, but also not the same as a bunch of boxes sitting around with no one doing anything. Give it a rest man, almost all of your 18 posts are in this thread whining like little Timmy on Christmas morning, who wants to open presents at 5am and can't wait until everyone is up and breakfast is cooked.

When this arrives this month (seriously people relax) I am trying to come up with a plan to get the most benefit from the Planemate (currently a 8 index but wildly inconsistent) . I have 3 months to practice before the courses open up here in my area. I have a area setup in the basement where I can do 9 to 3 drills but the ceiling is too low for anything else. I might be able to do slow full swings upstairs, guessing maybe up to a 7 iron. I have a mirror and a way to record myself. The worry I have is that I am quick at the top and where I believe I need the most help. With my current setup that is the part that will get the least amount of reps at speed.

Should a guy do one week with each protocol. Work myself through a all 7 in a week and repeat each week. How would do it?

Thanks

I like Monte's approach where he states to make swing changes with wedges - 7 iron and let the changes bleed down to longer clubs (particularly driver). I would suggest doing the regular protocols with a ball, short band and wedge. Do the advanced protocols with a 7 iron and long band, no ball (or red if you want a workout). As for doing one protocol a day etc, I would do whatever you have time for . The next day, I would do the protocols from the previous, but less reps so you can move on. If one protocol hits on something you need more than others, do more reps of that protocol. I would always at least do a few of each protocol per day and determine for yourself the areas you need the most reps. For example:

Day 1 = Protocol 1 30 rep, Protocol 2 30 rep, Protocol 3 30 rep

Day 2 Protocol 1 5 rep, Protocol 2 10 rep,, Protocol 3 10 rep, Protocol 4 30, Protocol 5 30 rep

Day 3 Protocol 1 5 rep, Protocol 2 5 rep,, Protocol 3 10 rep, Protocol 4 10, Protocol 5 30 rep, Protocol 6 30 reps

Biggest thing with Planemate, don't rush into full swings hitting balls. You are just going to get frustrated.

My 2 cents, I think the fairest thing for Martin to do would be to reward returning customers who have been with him through the tour striker 7 iron and smartball years and send them there Planemate FIRST!

Regardless of when you placed your order.

Show us some love Martin, for hanging with you through the years

You're about as dramatic as a 13 year old girl, they said when you pre-ordered it wouldn't ship to january, and that you would be charged when you place your pre-order. Why don't you email their support, change your ship to address to a family member or friends house so if it does ship after you move you can just pick it up.
