I’ll see if I can dig some up. It was a very minty Silver Mist finish without the sight dot. Next to no repair needed and I wanted the black finish but didn’t want to spend $400+!

Give them a call. They're SUPER nice and great to work with. I just got the call that they're sending me back my Mizuno ST180 driver head- Matte Black! Going to toss it on a new black UST V2 for old time's sake. Can't wait.

You had to be cringing when deciding to do that to a perfectly fine Scotty but the mix of flat black and gloss lettering looks so awesome. This is exactly what I want to do to my PING Sigma G Tyne putter. Just might have to send it to them.

It's amazing how much better it looks at setup now and how much more I like it overall -- just not a fan of it stock, but the purchase price was too good to pass up. I really wanted a black finish on it and these guys have a great reputation, which is well deserved!

Anyone know if it's possible to have a chip as shown on Cobra LTD head repaired?

Good luck. They do phenomenal work. If all you were looking to do was “hide” that chip I think a full refinish would have been overkill. Report back when the Orange Bomber is finished.

I ran with your idea after my new maverick five wood went underneath the ball.

I did send it down to see if I could get into that gouge a little deeper it’s pretty deep oh well it’s a utility would drivers a different deal. But I can tell you the M5 is a great driver for not showing damage on the crown

Umm, Jerry I should be clear that what you did was in no way my idea. For small chips you simply fill in the chip with nail polish and buff it out. I “overfill” the chip to get it raised and then use Maguire’s Scratch X to buff things out. Sanding like you did is a complete refinish job best left to shops like Continental unless you’re well-versed in auto body repair or the like. The finished DIY product will rarely meet your expectations.

Oh yes but my family being from Minnesota I like to do things when you can’t get away from the farm just for cosmetic purposes I go to Continental Golf almost every day because I only live 20 minutes from them and I will definitely have this refinished but I wanted to sand it down to that gap and fill it in with a Lotta fingernail polish just so when I go out and play again I don’t have to look at that scratch but it’s going to be refinished Monday probably do it in white LOL

I pretty much go over there every day and if you give Justin a call he will explain why they can’t answer on here it’s something about their reestablishing there’s sponsorship out here so they cannot comment or say anything but they will be glad to talk to you they are truly one of the best customer service establishment I’ve ever run into.

Picture of my backup driver I sent to Continental for a makeover. It's a Rogue SZ and came out beautifully. I had them sandblast the face and paint the crown in a gloss black --- awesome work.
