Anyone using the honma Honma TW747 VX Golf Irons? Saw them yesterday I thought they looked good.

Just received a set of Honma XP-1's. I'd have to classify them as game improvement with a player's feel. I'm going to be doing some comparison with some other clubs I have (Apex CF19's, etc.). I've only hit them in my hitting net in my basement so far, but finding the center of the club face has been far easier than I thought. They feel, look, and sound great. The 747's might have been an option for me, but I'm looking for as much distance as possible and these (I think) will be the best fit for me.

These may be flying under the radar for a lot of golfers and this was definitely one of those purchases that you just don't know how it will turn out, but I'm pretty wowed right now. I did hit them at Club Champion at a fitting that I had and they felt amazing... soft with good feedback. What is really surprising me is the dispersion seems remarkably better.

I'm waiting for a launch monitor and will be able to tell whether they are really performing as well as they feel right now.

The 747s are beautiful. I have a very clean set of 737V right now I have been trying out. They are one of the best looking irons I have ever put down by the ball and the feel is as good as any Japanese forged iron out there. They make a nice product. The 747s look amazing, but couldn't swing the coin right now, but if they are even a little better than the 737 I would highly recommend them.

Never hit the 737, but I did hit the 747v and they are fantastic! One of the best looking irons of the year imho. Feel soft and solid, just like a proper 1 piece forging should feel. A little strong lofted, but easily fixed. Great sole design as well with pre-worn leading edge. I love my Bridgestone, but if I had the cash these would get heavy consideration for the bag. They are also cheaper than most OEMs currently. They will prob end up in the bag at some point. Just a lovely iron with minimal badging.

Their irons look fantastic. I'd like to hit these and maybe transition over from my Hawkeyes eventually.

Please can somebody PM or post a few at address pics of the TW747VX and/or the TW747V. I intend ordering one or other but have to order blind so would like to get an idea of what both look like at address.
