I like it too, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t like the fact that they’re trying to call it a Spider when it doesn’t even resemble one.

I got to use this one in store 2 weeks ago. For me, I like it way better than spider X. But I wasn’t a fan of TheX to begin with. I used the original spider and ghost spider but now use a Ping Vault 2.0 ketsch. The new S was great for a straight back, straight thru stroke. I do not like the X hosel.

I don't know why, but I already have a feeling that probably before the end of the year, we'll see a Spider S Mini version popping up.

Saw this in store today, tried it out and.... I don't like it and not sure if many will. It's fairly easy to line up, the 3 lines, hollow portion and even the rear bar come into play for aligning the putter up, it's footprint is also quite big. Now why I don't like it is the feel, this thing does not feel solid at all and I'm sure it has something to do with that cut out section, hit the S then hit the X or hit the X then the S and you'll feel the difference right away. I don't think these will do well, kinda like the Spider Arc which feels better than this btw.

Rolled one at lunchtime today at a local PGASS. I see that the last post here is from 2/9, pre-release. My guess is that a lot more people will grow fond of these. Probably won't have the all time great success as the actual Spider line, but it's a very legitimate putter. I also like the fact that the head weights vary based on the length of the putter. That said, I was personally surprised by how heavy the 34" version felt to me. Should also add that the finish quality seems dramatically better than other Spider models.

It's definitely not a "Spider" though. No saying this is a good thing or bad thing, but in no way does it resemble any previous iteration of the Spider line.

I just rolled one today at the PGA Superstore and I have to say that I really liked the way the ball came off the face, and it had a very nice smooth roll. It's funny how we can have almost opposite opinions of things. I do not like the double bend, if they put it out with a slant neck, then I would seriously consider it. I also rolled the Bettinardi Innovai while I was there, and I really did not like the way the ball came off the face; it had a dead feel to it.
