putter purchase question: when buying on the sites classifieds, do you ask for the Scotty serial number before purchase?
I never have.
@braincramp52 all purchases legit? Thanks for the comment
No, I don't think most Scotty's even have a serial number. Especially not an old model like Studio Stainless.
Unless the person sent it into Scotty Cameron to get it authenticated.

Generally you can tell by looking if the putter is real or not. If you are not sure then post a link/images to the putter in question.
If it's the Studio Stainless series it's probably not fake. Those older models were not faked. I think the Studio Style (2006 or so) was when fakes really started.
As stated above, the Camerons that are really faked have tell tale signs about them. Scan the forums here to be able to spot the signs of a fake. Generally, if there is a fake of anything that is up on the BST, the guys here sniff it out quick and let the mods know.
Does this appear to be legit?
Yes nice stick also.

Legit and in great shape. I love the older, lighter models. That one is in the 325-335 gram range. Beauty putter imho.
