Nothing new and the XXIO stuff is hideous. Srixon is really disappointing me.

Problem for Srixon is they don't really have a woods line which is typically what OEM's feature annually. That allows them to sneak by another year without an iron release. Unfortunately Srixon doesn't have that luxury.

It is also sad that they have effectively killed Cleveland as a players club. They have two high handicap lines. One premium one budget and the srixon line. Cleveland had some great players sets of irons. Not anymore.

Srixon sticks to their two year cycle, likely you won't see anything from them until around August this year for new wood line, the Cleveland's RTX wedges I believe release around the same time frame. The RTX4 and the Z85 woods line came out Aug/Sep of 2018. I do agree the XXIO lineup is along way from being sexy tho the XXIO forged looks very similar to the Z585.

Man youre not kidding there who plays that awful looking XXIO stuff other than Ernie whos paid millions. Only the Japanese. Cleveland driver looks OK.

The Cleveland brand aside from wedges is DEAD. If they were smart they would have Srixon Woods and irons with Clevenand wedges (think Titleist and Vokey). It would strengthen their brand and revitalize all the companies involved.

Saying it is completely dead is not totally true. I see their sets sell regularly. They are good option for someone that wants to play 3-4 times a year and not practice. The Cleveland wedges are as good as anything out there currently and they stay very current there.

 

Srixon just needs better presence and they need to stay relevant and their current line already feels really old. It is good, as good as anything else. XXIO is very high priced and niche so not much traction there. Maybe there will be a fall 2020 release. I think their last one happened in the fall.

Cleveland aside from wedges sells about as much as Wilson Golf. Maybe less. Keep the Cleveland wedges and Srixon should take over. You can't keep the wedges high end and make the rest of the clubs garbage. Doesn't work in the branding world. If they want to build the rep of the Cleveland wedge this should be done. Again using Titleist, do you think Vokey wedges would have the rep they do if all other Vokey products were cheap junk made for high handicappers ?

I agree with you. I think cleveland wedges still at this point have a following and will be fine. Unless they have a bad year or a subpar release. Then due to the low end'ness of their cleveland club offerings they will lose out. People will start to see them as budget and when they want something high end will go to Vokeys, TMs, or mizuno.

I just hope Srixon takes over and they stop with the other cleveland stuff. IT would do wonders for the wedges

In some ways it would make sense for the Cleveland brand to go away. I mean roger Cleveland has worked for callaway longer not than he did for Cleveland.

I just bought Cleveland CBXs last year and hit them just as good as I hit Ping i500’s. They felt just as good at $400 cheaper. And they’ve improved my game and workability. That’s my experience. Before then I was all Taylormade.

The Driver is one of the best on the market for 2020, some Great custom Options and some good numbers for a Driver that’s 200 bucks cheaper than the others, some Great reviews as well by Crossfield, Shiels etc,

Ive never seen or hit Srixon woods or hybrids as no stores in my area carries them. But I have to say in the pics here on WRX they look as good as any.

I guess its part of their plan but you would think if they had a larger store presence they would sell more.

RTX 4 was last year. I think they go with 2 year cycles on their wedges.

 

FWIW - RTX 4 will still be incredible next year when 5 comes out.
