Titleist T400 irons

Sure it’s an exaggeration but at 33 degrees that 9 iron is a degree stronger than my Mizuno MP18 7 iron. With a hotter face and that MOI way back I can easily hit the PW 160 and the 9 iron 180.

I'm a higher swing speed guy, and will stick with my 718CB's, but I can picture me experimenting by getting that 5 iron and reshafting it with a HZRDUS Black 105 or Black Tie 105, at 4 iron length, and seeing what type of driving iron-hybrid it would be....

Can these be bent strong?

Yes, but if you bend them strong, they will have more offset, and then you will be Foreleft.

These are the longest irons I've ever hit !!! Lots of forgiveness too . Awesome irons!

Good for Titleist is trying new things to increase market share. They have a different iron now to cover a lot more categories.

i was playing with these the other day. They had stock regular graphite shafts so a terrible fit. But hot dang the ball flys..

here are my thoughts. They are huge, but honestly Titleist did a decent job of blending and smoothing so they looked less huge. They are not soft, but with an iron like this and if you are in the market for something like this. I think that is low on the concern list.

the ball..freaking...flys.. if I was actually get fit for this, and match up the right shaft, I think I could find the center more and hit these even further.. I know they are super strong, but look at the numbers. Spin is decent, launch is high, but ball speed is off the carts.

 

this could be a very good set for someone. The right someone.

Thanks for sharing just ordered a set as I am not long. My current Hot Metals are nice but short. These aren’t much different to Ping game improvement, but the spilt sole in facts means the turf actually interacts with a regular type base.

Well that would be true for an excellent ball striker but  that's not the target market. These are for players who cast the club, flip their hands at impact, scoop the ball, etc etc etc. rather than delofting, those players add loft to their irons so that 38 degree PW winds up with an actual loft above 40 degrees at impact. And super spinny and probably with some slice on it. So they actually wind up hitting their PW 120 yards and feel great about their game and keep buying titleist products.
