Titleist ap3 real or fake

I got these and just curious if they are fake. I understand i take a risk when not buying from a rep.

What reason do you have to question their authenticity?

ive posted them in other forums and mix reviews. Everything from the serial number being laser etched, to the color, and letters looking stamped. It’s been 50 / 50. They feel durable. The KBS sticker has been in question also

it's tricky. on one hand I say they're fine because i'm not sure i've seen fake AP3's yet. on the other the 718 on the neck is a lot more bolder compared to the legit ones in the photo I posted. normally on the fake AP2, the "FORGED" engraving is always off.

 

how about the chrome/brushed differences in the real AP3 at the end of the neck on the real one? I can't tell if it's there on yours.

Good deal. Email Titleist the serial number to find out factory specs and see if they match. Which KBS shafts? Which grips? The ferrules on yours look factory Titleist. I'm sure they're fine.

I think it would be best to just stay away from them.

 

I'll question them again based on this photo. see the "718" on the hosel. I think yours isn't as sharp as the real ones i posted. it looks bold and indented.

I took them up to dicks sporting goods, i compared them to a brand new set of Ap3’s and there were some difference, but the swing weight was the same, and i hit the 6i 213yard carry. I’m more confused than ever

I think you should start another thread so we can really get to the bottom of this! There’s lots of folks in both threads voicing concerns over them - even across multiple message boards, according to one poster above. Regardless of how far you hit them or what the swingweight happens to be - if they’re fake they’re fake, no matter how badly you want them to be real. Don’t let your desire for them to be real distract your fact finding.

Definitely fake. I bought a fake set and went through the whole comparison process. Call Titleist with the number and they can set your straight right away.

 

But like look at the ap3 stamping, it's decent but nowhere near as precise. The finish also isn't nearly as chrome shiny. These were huge giveaways for me with mine.

 

100% fake sorry to say
