OK he was off first on his own so it didn't effect anyone but playing this fast is , in some ways, as bad as playing slowly. It also looks unprofessional.

He bogeyed 3 of the last 6 on the front nine. Got the warning on 10, was 1 under his next 4 holes, then the last few bogeys.

Media hyping the warning and subsequent bogeys because it makes for a better story, but that wasn't the real story of the round.

His second shot on the first play off hole was even more entertaining! the way he reacted was gold: "oh my Gawd, worst shot of my life!" as the ball lands 50m into the water obstacle. I could totally relate (for once)

Initially I was a fan of the idea of tackling slow-play but now I'm very skeptical. Yes nobody wants a player taking 2.5 mins to hit a putt but if a player takes 50 secs instead of 40 to hit a shot in difficult conditions while contending to win a tournament on a Sunday then I'm not sure he should be getting warned for that. I'd like to know exactly what the breach was.
