Why?? Why go there? Considering they were two of Nike’s top players is it not likely they knew each other very well? Similar life events, similar standing in their respective sports. Tiger probably was much closer to Kobe than other players.

Its impossible for you (or any of us) to understand the feeling of connection that a legendary athlete may have for another. But consider that, in this case, TW and KB are around the same age, TW is a huge Lakers/Kobe fan, and has been friends with KB for decades. TW posted a lengthy tribute to KB when he retired, I don’t recall TW doing anything like that before.

 

None of the other players share anything remotely like the personal relationship that TW and KB had.

Was it really necessary for the TV cameras to follow him and show him hearing the news? We don't need to see and hear everything. Classic modern broadcast media, sometimes just needs to take a breath.

totally agreed. Uncalled for. They are creating drama and ratings with tragedy.. i am sure they would have preferred for Tiger to break down to his knees. He handled it well.
