I’m not going to get in a stupid internet argument but someone asked if anyone is missing it left and I said yes I am as well. And yeah I am going to complain I’m missing it left that means there is something wrong with my swing I need to fix. 4-5 feet left of my target is the different between hitting the green on a tucked left pin and being short sided. Enjoy your day.

Go reread the post. He is missing a 10-20 yard shot to the left, not missing 10-20 yards left. Basically no chance to get laid off like you are saying on a 10-20 yard shot.

I get it did not work for you and you have moved on, but assuming everyone else has the same exact problem you did isn't really productive.

Yes, we know, you have voiced your opinion numerous times.

But it is not the inherent nature of the aide, it happened to you because you likely were not diligent enough to self monitor while using it. It didn't work for you, we get it, do us all a favor and move on instead of going on like a broken record in here.

I was trying to do the full protocol series without playing but the boys called and the wife gave me a hall pass this weekend, so I played. Huge improvement in my short game, Hit long irons straighter than I have in a few months but it was wet and my contact was a tad fat, but center on the the face at least.

I will say that a mirror really helped with the work at P4 top of the backswing. That check point is a tad harder to keep an eye on compared to the takeaway. Target and walmart have cheap full length mirrors for under $10.00.

For me it was fighting the shallow. PlaneMate makes you exit left, but if you fight the shallow and exit left while fighting, you end up with path to left. I was hitting really solid contact full swing cuts, but got on Flightscope, found path was +4 left. Same for short shots.

Check your contact and ball spin on Skytrack. If spin is right and the green line under horizontal spin ball is center or right of center, it is path.

I received the PM in the mail the other week and have been at home doing some of the protocols and getting a feel or it. I took it out to the range for the first time today and have a pretty serious concern.

Has anyone else had the PM jump on on them? I have it secured pretty firmly where they tell you to, but when I take my club above parallel, the PM sometimes gets pulled off my hip. It makes taking full or 3/4 swings very hard/uncomfortable since I'm never sure when the PM will jump off my hip.

As someone who has used the PM to great effect since September. First, the above is true, I went from 1 degree flat to 3 degrees flat using the PM.

Second, there is a reason they are so adamant about the proper finish. It’s easy to cheat the PM and pull left as if you did it right. If you focus on keeping your hands low and left through impact the ball should go straight or at worst a baby draw or fade. If you are hitting anything more than that much bend it’s either you or above.

Didn’t understand what you meant but I think I had a little breakthrough as I think “fighting the shallow” was why I couldn’t for the life of me use the long band without a half flip stall fake left finish. Really worked on the transition protocol with long band and just “let” the club fall behind my hands as I rotated. Like a Gankas move. Felt like no way I could get club to the ball as it felt wide open and right arm felt (as teachers say it should) like skipping a rock. I always thought I knew that feel but I really exaggerated the “relax” and was just flushing 9 irons with the low handle left high clubhead finish like they say. Really had to let go and trust it and felt as if my whole body was facing the target when I made contact. Felt Super balanced and really loose in the arms and definitely have to monitor the clubface by flexing the lead wrist but in the mirror it looks like I want but feels not like I expected at all. Almost like an uppercut punch? I’m sure tomorrow I’ll suck again haha

My brain couldn't fight off my desire to start Day 5, and there's regret.
@GolfChannel is correct, I didn't master the follow through enough and moving to Day 5 entirely exposed that. I'm all over the place and not quite getting the 'relax' yet. It's a mess. I did get the 'relax' a few times and it was pure right down the target line. Fighting that OTT will stop with the Planemate, but it will be some work

I'm going back to Day 1 today and working through again to try to get back on track. Need to really work on the follow through, it's way more important than I originally thought.

Are you still using the short green band? Is it possible you're trying to do too long of a swing with that band (or lifting your arms too much)? The Day 5 video only has him going a little past lead arm parallel to the ground before he relaxes it. I could see an attempt at a "full" swing with the short game band causing the belt to pull up a bit due to the tension on the band.

Also, try playing around with the belt position. I started with mine with the bottom edge basically on my belt line and it was riding up and I moved it down where the top line of the belt was on my pants/belt line, really cranked down the strap, and I’ve had no issues. May be the same for you, or even the opposite, so just try different things.

Also, the above can be the issue also - stretching out the short band too much may pull it up if doing full swings.

The PlaneMate with the proper pivot, shallow, and rotation is going to make most of you a little flatter in terms of lie angle. The above was basically my shot until I got my lies adjusted. Didn't mind it with irons, didn't like it with wedges as a cut player. Now the ball goes straight or barely draws with irons. With woods my ball goes straight or barely cuts.

It's pretty liberating to know I can go as hard as I want through the ball with no fear.

Mixed with my SuperSpeed work (team middle stick only) my 8-iron has gone from my 138 carry club to my 168 carry club since September. I should be getting a full fit on Monday, schedule permitting, so I am wondering where I will be with properly fit equipment.
