PXG irons are some of the best out there. Whether they work for someones budget is another story. Glad you like the gen 3's, i haven't seen them yet.

The 0311P Gen 3 were like nothing I've ever hit. The ball just went up in the air and far.

I'm officially getting fit soon for a set.... possibly this week.

Warwick, as a long time Mizuno lover you really need to try PXG. Makes Mizuno feel like Walmart clubs. Just saying. Pay the man and get the best feeling clubs ever. Kaboom!

Walmart clubs is the correct analogy. I recently went for an agnostic fitting. I couldn't believe the difference between the various Mizunos and PXGs, it was night and day. The Mizunos felt like trash after hitting PXGs. The fitter also said something that stuck. He said "the forged feel" is really overstated, any club greater than 35* loft you won't feel any difference between forged and cast because of the ball sliding up the face more and compressing less. Less than 35* which for most people might be 3-4 clubs, will only feel marginally better with pure strikes. PXGs feel good with every iron on almost every strike!

Last year I was fit for Mizuno MP18s. I loved them and shot the lowest round in my life using them.

On a whim I bought a used set of PXG 0311T gen 1 irons on Boxing Day from a site that, I assumed, was having a 50% off Boxing Day sale. Ends up that someone must have made an error on the website because within an hour or two only selected items were at 50% off.

Nonetheless, my order was still fulfilled at the lower rate.

I thought I’d try them and if they didn’t outperform the MP18s I would send them back and only be out the cost of shipping.

Well, they’re not going back! I compared them in a store’s sim and the numbers were better with the PXGs (yes, same shaft as the MP18s).

What surprised me though was the feel. The Mizunos do feel great but the PXGs feel even better.

ive played various mp clubs for the past 12 years along with ap2.

the Gen 3 feel better than the gen 1-2 for sure. Mizunos feel amazing yes no doubt walmart clubs my ass but the gen 3 did feel better.

For those talking about Gen 1 and 2, those are completely different irons. Gen 2 specifically is the firmest feeling. Gen 3 is an entirely different design with different inside material, and it feels significantly better than the previous generations.

I was able to hit them last week for the first time and they are pretty incredible. They do put other clubs to shame. They have a very unique and soft feel that’s almost addicting to hit. Other irons still feel great, but the Gen 3 is not just hype. They also look way better in person than photos and have unique milling marks and nice finishing touches.

I want to pull the trigger on the Gen 3, but probably still won’t because of price. But this is the only PXG iron to date that makes me really, really want to...

Neither are what I would consider SGI irons, that would be their XP line.

The T's will have a slightly thinner top line, less offset, and a thinner sole compared to the P's.

All kidding aside the PXG 0211's feel pretty good ,offer some forgiveness and are getting more affordable (ebay, BST, etc) as they have been discontinued by PXG.
