Myrtle Beach in March

Haven’t been down to play in Myrtle yet, wondering how early-mid March are weather and condition wise. Is it worth the trip then or am I better off waiting a little later in the season?

Mid-March will be nicer then Jan or Feb, you will get warmer weather with possible rain but it is a peak spring time for golf. If you go later you will see prices drop after June but weather will be much hotter out. Personally i dont think there is a bad time to go to MB but Mid March will be nice.

It's really hit or miss in march. We were there 2 years ago in march and we were kind of bundled up because it was windy. Afternoons typically warmed up enough to take the jackets off. The later you wait in the season the better the weather and the cheaper the golf in most cases but housing prices go up for beach season.

I've done more than a dozen trips trips to MB in mid March. The most typical weather is chilly in the early mornings low to mid 40's is common. (We usually try to get the first tee times of the day so we don't have to rush to play 36 a day) So, you'll need a couple of layers if you tee off at daybreak, but it gets very nice by mid day... Usually shorts weather, mid 60's and once in a while hits 70*. However, there are exceptions to that general rule. Dr Woods2017 hit the nail on the head in describing March two years ago. It was very cold, very windy and very wet. Half of my group stayed in the condo rather than play and some of us who did go out and play regretted it because we didn't bring sufficiently heavy cold gear.
