Please give me your thoughts! VIDEO ADDED

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwGUkiAI-zcHello everyone,

I would just like some constructive criticism on my swing. Driver swing speed is about 110-115 but I really struggle to hit the ball right to left. I am trying to work on clearing my left side and coming more inside to not hit a cut.

Any thoughts are appreciated!!

Here's an easy solution: make sure your right arm isn't on top of your left at setup, which gets your shoulders open and creates the left-right shot. This can happen for several reasons:

right hand grip is on top too much.ball is too far forward.If none of the above are an issue, then you need to soften your right arm, which will square your shoulders up. That's more than likely the culprit for a player of your skill level. When you correct this, your shoulders will feel weirdly closed. Roll with it and enjoy the draws you hit.

@laneholt ,

I appreciate the feedback and I have not been ignoring you but away from the computer on a snowmobile trip with family. I am still not certain I am understanding. Your last comment makes me feel like you are saying due to weight and rotation right to left will be a difficult shot shape to attain without using wrists/hands to "flip a draw". I understand what you are saying with the rotation genetics in the right hand are you telling me I am holding open the club face with that right hand? I feel like the ball is very back in my stance and I am a very steep player but maybe that is a feeling more than a fact. I have been working on trying to stand taller and closer the the ball and it has created a more inside swing path and shallowed out a little bit but I am still hitting a dead straight ball and I am a feel player and want to get back to hitting it both ways (on purpose). Also, hitting wedges in the video which I understand are harder to move the ball with.

What do you mean by soften my right arm? Pressure? or moving it more to towards my right heel?

Thank you for the feedback the further close "right" I get the further right I hit it ( I get stuck with this philosophy)

Thank you,

Justin

Hi Justin,

It's nothing more than letting your elbow bend a little so it "lines up" below the left arm when you see yourself on video down the line. Just relax your right elbow and notice what that does to your shoulders. In reality, your shoulders won't be closed -- they'll be square -- but they'll feel closed. If you're hitting it right, then it's worthwhile to check your grip, as well as clubface at setup. All these things are preferable to trying to change an already good, very functional low-handicapper swing.

It took awhile HAHAHA but I got it. I am going for my first full fitting here in March I am pretty excited. I sold all of my clubs only thing i have in the bag right now is 3 rusted trusted wedges and a scotty cameron all the rest will be fitted for and it is my first time ever having a full bag fitting.
